Our Top team played them last night and they had 1 really strong line and the rest were so so at best. Coach had a fit and took the team off the ice wouldn't let them play overtime. They had 2 questionable goals not called but we outplayed them from start to finish, average team with some (2) strong skaters.

Going to take it a step further. Probably the top 03's in the area playing on that team. Plus, according to one dad, the kid on the 2nd line is better than all of them and is a sure bet D1 player. Dad said there really aren't many kids that can play with him and he gets frustrated because the others just have not developed at the same pace.

Agree with above poster. Two of the three will likely be playing in the bean pot in a few years. The other two are pretty close. I laugh when I hear some of the other 02’ and 03’s
“ committing” when these 3 or 4 kids are much better. I had to see it to believe it as well. Good players for sure. I believe the 4th is a stud lacrosse kid. So I was told anyway. Maybe by the dad though so take that for what it’s worth.

This post shows why your Western MA hockey players never get anywhere. Angry parents can’t be happy for a 15/16 year old kid unless it’s their own. If the Pics have some kids who deserve attention you would think local parents would be happy but instead have to try bashing them. Good luck to those kids, I hope they continue on a successful path.

You do know that the Pics play in the lower division, right? Fastest line throughout all U16? Laughable. One of the kids on that line can't even skate and the other one skates right past the net every time. Take it easy, it is meant to be fun. None of our kids are going to the NHL.

Played them yesterday beat us 6-1, those kids are good, 10,24 can fly at any moment, that line was very good, 21 also hands but slow, goalie was very good. Lines 3-5 are terrible

I have talked to several people who matter. There are only 2 real prospects on that team, and they're both imports. The rest have their good points, but overall just slightly above average players in weak division. Relax everyone.

2 players, both are imports might make an 03 ‘ elite’ team as a 3rd or 4th line. Relax is right

They should all quite hockey. They are terrible kids! Ya, lets bash them all! Every kid on every team other than my kids team is just bad, no chance of playing after this year...Grrrrr.. I didn't talk to people who matter but I did stay at a Holiday inn express last night.

These kids should all be playing High School, do the 2 years of Jrs and see what happens

Not really a fair statement. Pic's players did not take that group seriously and played basically half speed and bottom lines. The studs were being rested as many of them are being showcased for the scouts over the next few weeks. The juniors will be committing likely this or next week. Rumors of 2 leaving for Quebec and 2 going to their local HS teams. That will hurt.

Guy is obviously just trying to get everyone riled up, c'mon folks. They have a few nice imports and a few nice americans and they all need a ton of work. None of them are going to the Q, none of them are leaving for high school other than the goalie. They are 16 and growing, they are just like the other 97% trying to make it to better league in the next few years and get a shot at college hockey. Quick, someone start a post about the Bandits or the Kings.

saw 2 Hockey east asst coaches and 2 Ivy assts at one game this past weekend. Not sure those guys are trying to get just a rise out of you . word is out on the two imports now. Don't be surprised to hear some news about Uconn as well. A little birdie told me. And one dad told me his kid was a D1 lax player and hockey keeps him in shape.

Sorry, but this is where the trail will end for all of this years Pics U16 players. There is no school interest for advancement, there is no U18 interest, there is just a 9K bill waiting for you to play on their Elite team next year. Go back to your high schools next year and enjoy senior year.

Played them, we don't understand how the kid who cant skate at all is the leading scorer? One of the dad's laughed and said "it helps when daddy is best friends with the coach, makes him a captain and he gets points when hes not even on the ice" Program has become a sham.

Skating ability is overrated

Why don't these kids just play for their high schools? U16's beat someone 15-1 Sunday, did those kids get better? Scouts watching? Go play with school friends your not going to play college staying at this program.

The Americans on the first 2 lines still believe they will get a college look and rest of the team wouldn't make their High School Varsity team.

Talking with a Pic dad and he said the families of the U18s were not told their would not be a team until 1 week into the season and the 16s were never told they would not be in top division. I don’t know why all those families stayed? 6-9k per year to play level of hockey is not smart.

They could have found a good split season option and played for their high schools then moved on next year
