Sad day for anyone who truly appreciates hockey legends and royalty, and Bill Belisle was definitely that. 26 straight state championships, 32 championships overall is Hall of Fame-worthy in my book. RIP, Coach
How many players did he not only coach that went pro but also in the first round.
Two number one overall picks. Brian Lawton (1983) and Bryan Berard (1995)
Plus numerous players that went into the NHL

Re: Mount's legendary coach

Bill Belisle is a high school hockey Titan. 10 times the coach and person that Catholic Memorial's Bill Hanson could ever dream of being.

Different era.... Bill could close the doors and not have an audience as he pushed the players to and past their limits... No phones to record. No modern coach would get away with the 2 a days, sucidices till half the team is puking, midnight workouts after a loss, chainlink fencing rather than gl***, and words he could use. Great coach for his day, just can't expect modern coaches to be able to mold men as he did without his tools.

That’s because most boys today are not really boys. Crap, most men are are not men. Do women even do dishes anymore?
