Have you left your area for other hockey ?
Tournaments or showcases or combines in hockey markets ?
That will give you your barometer and you and your player will quickly know if prep is a spot for him.
Had a dad next to me on glass at a combine a few years ago from a non traditional market. He was Impressed with the talent and thought that the kids he was watching were the best kids in the state.
He was shocked to hear the truth about some of those kids and quickly realized he kid was never playing at a higher level and just had to settle for being a very good player and the best player in a bad hockey market.
If you are a FP or close, get out your check book. He will make the team. They aren't turning down 70k x 4.
