I've heard this is happening...rumor or true?
I heard the same. The IceCenter and Top Gun are also for sale but the asking price of $7.5M is not attracting buyers. Who wants to buy a rink with labor costs soaring, inflation and skyrocketing utility expenses.
probably making good profit off the academy and sick of issues and maintenance of dealing with club. BJT probably has 30 teams ....must be a shat show to deal with.
Apparently the rink is a mess and he doesn't want to compete with Lovell
If the team is sold...where would all the players go? I am assuming someone else would buy the team?
I've heard the price is 6 million
Gunty and Black Bear sports will be all over it.....
things would be less 'watered down' if terriers folded. Those kids would be forced to play elsewhere (breakers, bandits, BA)
I find it hard to imagine that the whole org would just close leaving kids/parents scrambling to find other teams.
News of this might make parents/kids decide to go elsewhere but I dont see the whole terriers org closing.
they just added a D1 level gym for the academy on the front of the building and will be adding more space for film study, a nutrition station and studying for the academy
does osullivan still own it?
RD owns the academy, the Terriers and the Canton Rink. He leases ice at Bavis for some Terriers teams. So it has a lot to do with it.
Lovell is tier 1.
AHA is tier 2
They are not competitors.
What does that have to do with a youth hockey program?
RD? Whodat dat?
any updates or truth to this?
It is 100% TRUE. The Yandle's and the O'Sullivan's are purchasing both entities. Great investment for them and their programs.
He doesn't own the Sportsplex he leases
So the Terriers are not going away? I had heard the whole team might be folding
