Full disclosure, my kid is on the Varsity team. CC top team experiencing some returning Varsity players transfer to other schools after the famous "friends/family/donors" kids get "put" on the team. Some dissent among the team wondering what direction the program is heading.

We are just teaching the young men some valuable life lessons. (1) for those without skill, it's all about who you know, one they are unknowingly learning from an early age and (2) for those with skill, there are only a few organizations (schools & hockey clubs) that pride themselves on rostering the best players, and it's those org's that rise above all the others, they need to set their expectations accordingly...
If we are talking about MIAA/ Catholic Conference teams, there isn't a whole lot of skill to talk about
I think he is alluding to the fact that very few high end players play public/catholic hockey anymore. Jr leagues have destroyed mass hs hockey. It’s still fun-but the level of play has diminished significantly. Prep is what d1 public/catholic uses to be-and now juniors are what prep used to be….facts.
