Since there's no Pro section to the D-board I'll start this thread here. At the very least Brad Marchand should have gotten a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for licking Ryan Callahan last night--and for doing the same to Leo Komorov in the Toronto series. As a "repeat offender" he should get at least a game off. Why does the league act like there's nothing it can do since there is no rule explicitly against licking? "Unsportsmanlike conduct" is a catch-all--if it applies to Sean Avery waving his hands in a goalie's face, then it can certainly apply to licking. If the Bruins management had any backbone they would have set him straight already--if they had any ball$ they'd suspend on their own. He may be a great scorer, but he's an embarrassment otherwise.
