Seriously? Creating more slots for lesser players is in fact a bad thing. Bad for the good players. Bad for the lesser players. Thats why there are hierarchies in leagues/tiers. No one benefits from watering things down. They should be contracting the league. Make the competition level higher and make it more meaningful and accomplishemen to make a team. Then someone might actually go watch and/or scout.
And yes, by adding Arizona State is a bad thing if your don't correspondingly cut an Alabama Huntsville or Anchorage. Those teams get worse but somoene has to play them. They are so bad that those games are excluded from the pairwise rankings because beating them actually hurts your ranking. Not good for college hockey
There is always an implication beyond the obvious. Adding teams is fine as long as the total stays at around 60. If the number of teams grows where there arent enough talent to field them, you'll have a football situation growing where you will have power conferences and the others and the two will play each other less and less. A two tiered D1 college system.
There is elite level talent to support NHL expansion. There is zero talent to support junior hockey expansion.
AHL, KHL Europe.
Seriously are you equating junior hockey expansion as the same as NHL expansion?
USHL could expand because the level of talent in the league has increased due to NCAA becomming more desireable but they did so at the same time as expanding import limits so they get more high level talent from Canada and Europe. If they expand again they would have to import more.
If NCAA were to expand by more than 1 program here or there they would probably only do so but lifting the ban on major junior kids. That would only be if the entire Pac 12 started hockey teams and the rest of the Big 10 for example.
I want free hockey. Can I just sign up for NCDC?
Bingo, we have a winner!
NCDC just solidified its fate as even more of a joke than it is today!
Some of the top point leaders in some teams played on bad U16s teams last year. Give me a break folks!

Watched good game yesterday between NCDC's two top teams -- Jersey Hitmen & Jr. Bruins. It's too bad gap between best in league & some of the other teams is so wide
I bet the guy living under the rock thinks it's a great idea to spend billions of dollars on a wall the middle of no where that even the people living in those states realize it's the stupidest thing going. Make America Back-ass-wards again.
NAHL has announced that a new team is going into Lewiston, Maine. Between the Generals and the new Maine team, the geographic squeeze begins on the NCDC.
NCDC equivalent to a low end u18 team from the T1EHL
Slow, bad bad passing, limited systematic play. A few good players in league, lots of bad ones.
