I'd say contact the Islanders and Boston Advantage / NAHL Generals and the Junior Bruins and have a chat with them. Prep isn't all that. Limited number of games, wide range of ages / skills, a lot of agendas, more emphasis on winning and rep'ing the school than development...but hey if you think Junior looks good in a tie & jacket then go for it.
Boston Advantage/ NAHL Generals yes, Junior Bruins no. The Boston Advantage/ Lovell hockey group offers a direct pipeline to the NAHL, with many players advancing to NCAA D1 or the UShow. The JUnior Bruins are outt to steal your money with their eight midget teams and 12 "junior" teams.
Generals don’t have enough players for a FS NAPHL team. Giants are in that league. Boston Advantage not in that league and just go kicked out of the Tier 1 Elite league. BA no longer a good option. Any USPHL team is awful.

Why so negative? Why do people always feel the need to bash the Generals? They aren't having any trouble filling their teams.
A lot of good options out there. Is NA better than NCDC sure. Is the NCDC awful? No. Is USPHL terrible? Some teams are some teams aren't? Does Boston Advantage suck? No, maybe not a great fit for everyone but a lot of happy people that play or have played there. Do the Junior Bruins suck? No, maybe not a great fit for everyone but a lot of happy people that play or have played there.
How about instead of absolutes we talk in terms of "This wasn't a good experience for my kid because of....." ?
Do all camps stink? No. Do all tournaments stink? No. Are a lot of things money grabs? Yes.
Make the most of it, go in with and open mind. Don't choose a program to win a championship (although there is nothing wrong with winning) but go to a program you can develop at. Play for a Coach you like and trust. Investigate things before spending money. Relax. Enjoy the ride, it's a lot shorter than you think.
