Your comparing a teenage junior team with a D1 college program where most players are in their 20\\\'s??
This is why most NHL teams love the college game now, it\'s older guys, more defensive, and more physical than the CHL. Granted the CHL will have some real high end offensive talent, but none of the teams in each league play any defense, and the bottom of their rosters are not very good.
NHL teams love college hockey because it gives them a never ending source of gritty 4th liners they can pay league minimum so they can pay the stars big money and stay within the salary cap. The big buck guys coming out of college rarely make it past their freshman or sophomore year.

yep --- BU had a D line of Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk.
You must have missed the World Junior Tournament. Team Canada is made up essentially of all major junior players and Team USA is made up of essentially all D1 college players. Since you missed it, Canada won gold again and USA won nothing again.
Canada has been in the gold medal game 27 times vs USA 6 times. Canada has won 18 gold medals vs USA with 4. How can anyone actually argue that college hockey is better than major junior hockey? It's actually not even close.
1 and 2 year difference? You need to put the crack pipe down pal. Same age players and the Major junior kids (Team Canada) dominate the D1 college kids (Team USA). This is the truth.

That's not the discussion here, someone is saying the CHL is better than the NCAA, different age groups. Not comparing Team USA to Team Canada. You should smoke the crack pipe. NCAA level play would destroy most CHL teams as most of their superstars can't play defense in the Q, O, or W

you both need to get with the times: crack pipes are out, vaping is in.

You folks are clueless, the World Juniors is played on an Olympic size sheet where there is plenty of room to be skilled, also the NCAA layers that participate are only Freshman playing in an older league, more similar to the NHL game. There is no comparison between the CHL and NCAA, CHL teams would be destroyed.
