Team Canada is made up essentially of all major junior players and Team USA is made up of essentially all D1 college players.
Canada has been in the gold medal game 27 times vs USA 6 times. Canada has won 18 gold medals vs USA with 4. How can anyone actually argue that college hockey is better than major junior hockey? It's actually not even close.

Team Canada U18 and below teams are assembled 14 days prior to games while the USA teams play together in the USHL all season. Another sign that Canadian Hockey is much more advanced than US.

Apparently you haven't been watching. NCAA players are mostly 21-24 these days and not eligible to play WJ.

Or, they only play NCAA when they are 18 and 19 and then go pro, and choose to not play WJ.

Take a look at the USA WJ roster the last couple of years. Some years stacked, some years not so much.

You can say the same about the top Major Junior guys in the NHL who dont even play for team Canada. Comparing apples to apples though, the Major Junior players are much more skilled than the college players. The proof is in the ressults. Sorry man.

You folks are clueless, the World Juniors is played on an Olympic size sheet where there is plenty of room to be skilled, also the NCAA layers that participate are only Freshman playing in an older league (NCAA), more similar to the NHL game. There is no comparison between the CHL and NCAA, CHL teams would be destroyed.

U have no clue. The WJ is not a good gage to judge leagues. CHL is littered with 16/17 year old players throughout their teams. The Canadian team players like the US WJ team are mostly 19 and sometimes 18. These are the older kids in the CHL. The US kids on WJ team are on the other hand the younger kids on college teams... College teams as a whole are much better due to age and strength entering the conversation.

WJ U20 not always played on Olympic size sheets. Depends on host and facilities used. Many NHL arenas have been used in games throughout the years and none are Olympic size

They win it a lot more than the US collegw kids do. Dummy
