NA3HL

Is this league that bad? Scores lopsided kid leading scoring averaging 3 points a game. How much better is EHL

NA3 is way behind USPHL Premier & EHL.

Yup. NA3 is very uneven, they need to split into two leagues.

Premier is way too large too. 50+ teams? Not enough talent to have that many competitive teams.

Some bad teams in EHL as well.

It sucks, because some of the hockey is pretty good. But, because there's $$$ involved it invites liars and cheats.

Light your money on fire. Not worth it at all.

What does it cost to play on a NA3HL team?

Re: NA3HL

NA3HL had more players on the Central Scouting list than all USPHL teams. Good league, excellent way to get to the UShow or NAHL.

I find the Central Scouting fact dubious. Unless "one" is more than "none." NAPHL, maybe.

And the record for advancement to Tier I or II is abysmal. It's been in all the papers. Trumped up numbers based on requirement that each team draft an NA3 player.

There are some decent teams in the NA3. There are some disastrous teams, too.

EHL has one team that's historically bad, otherwise the teams are competitive. Records may not show that, but look at the game scores.

EHLP has two awful teams, one so-so team, the others are competitive. Supposed to be for 2001s - 2003s, some teams are using '99s which is a little silly.

USPHL Premier has 50+ teams so who can keep track of who is good and who is bad?

USPHL Elite is dead. Could be the last year, at least in this area.

Re: NA3HL

The USPHL is mandating the same "pathway of development" that the NAHL/NA3HL does with their new drafting requirements of USPHL Premier players. IMO, I don't have any issue with those policies. Sure, it might be a phony mandate but it gives that player a shot, at least a look, and maybe they can make something out of it and stick on the big club's roster. Now, using those numbers to market "advancement", that's BS.

You can get a look anyway. Main Camps aren't exactly exclusive any more. Just need to make the first cut.

Re: NA3HL

A couple of years ago it was at least $8,000. Spend the money on education. If they play NA3HL, they are likely not going to play college. I'm sure there are exceptions, but not many.

Oh goodness, now USPHL Premier is considered good hockey?? What does that make NCDC? Best League, Best Coaches, Best Players? HA! Oh, please, outside of some of the younger commits in that league, most of those players are on par with the NAHL3 talent.

Re: NA3HL

As with everything else in hockey you have to look at the program and not the league. There are excellent programs in the NA3HL and in the USPHL Premier and in the EHL that move players on to the next level, whether that is the NCDC, NAHL or NCAA D3. There are also garbage programs in each of those leagues that are no better than JV HS hockey. Do your homework and make sure your player goes to the right program.

Re: NA3HL

couple of good teams, the rest are not. framingham likes to recruit from there, enough said.

Re: NA3HL

Check out Knights roster. Nough said. Really bad hockey.
