Re: NCDC/NAHL

Junior hockey is not like high school. They can extend the season as long as they want.
Yes, many will age out 1/2 through this 18 month season. Its gonna be great, looking forward to it.

Nice try, but that's not how it works. Eligibility date for 2020/21 season (both ends) is determined on 12/31/20. So, season could extend through the summer and it wouldn't matter.

The bigger question is, since NCAA has given anyone playing college hockey this year an additional year of eligibility and an additional year to complete it, the opportunities for PSAs aging out of junior this year will be extremely limited. According to the current rules, they would have nowhere to play for the 2021/22 season.

Only solution is going to be to at least temporarily extend junior eligibility. Except, it could be years before it all works its way through the pipeline.

Re: NCDC/NAHL

With the preps shutting down...what teams have spots open?

Re: NCDC/NAHL

None. NAHL/NCDC main camps were months ago. Most teams have bursting rosters they're thinning right now, with players sent down to their lower teams. Your best bet is find a Tier3 Junior team (NA3HL, USPHL Premiere/Elite, EHL) looking for an upgrade. Good luck.

Rosters are never set, at any level of junior. Every team will always take an upgrade. Always. There is zero loyalty.

So it depends on your kid. If he's a true stud, pick a team.

More likely, do what this poster says. But, there's a HUGE difference between those options.
