I was at one of the PC games a few weeks ago, even though UNH had a good effort that weekend in getting swept by Providence, the one things that stood out between the two teams is that it was "men" vs "boys", there isn't one player on UNH that would even make the PC squad. Umile has run that program in the ground, and how? He never got off his ass to leave campus and recruit anyone, he left it up to the assistants. And now they are paying for it, no one wants to play for UNH, just like Maine.

Umile hasn't been there in like 5 or 6 years...maybe more. Current head coach was the one recruiting at the end of Umile time and they were bad then too.
But to your point, terrible recruiting, terrible coaching, and no one wants to play there. Time to move on.
It is odd that Maine and NH are not any good any more. But with the proliferation of the game and all the new colleges out there w hockey teams like Penn st and Arizona….they just don’t carry the clout they used to….it’s what have you done lately -and to those 2 programs….they ain’t done much.
