Doesn't the addition of so many new tier 2 teams devalue tier 3 even further? I mean with so many teams now in the NAHL, NCDC, BCHL and AJHL, one would think the writing is on the wall (if it isn't already) for players who can't make these leagues a year before their age-out year.
Congratulations to the 2002's that got crapped on through COVID, suffered through several years of overflowing rosters, and backlogged entry into college due to the NCAA's wisdom of granting an extra year of eligibility. More Tier 2 opportunities (and a new Tier 1 league out West) just in time for you all to age out.
2004's on down should reap the opportunities. Congrats kids.
At least six new NCDC teams and at least two new NAHL teams next year. That's approximately 240 new spots ... on top of all the spots that would normally open up with age-outs and such. NACC "covid" backlog starting to clear, too.
GOOOOOOOOO TO COLLEGE. You are only making these junior program owners rich. These guys have managed to go through life selling unattainable dreams, have avoided holding down real 9-5 jobs and have to duck out of most rinks to avoid angry patrons in the lobby that drank the kool aid only to see the dream slipping away.
