03 Fed Group

Where are they now? My youngest nephew is playing this year and my brother brought up the Dboard today. I had completely forgotten about this thing. My son played the fed for a few years but stoped during high school. Remember how good the Eagles were back then, are they still? Or driving to Enfield CT to play the Falcons. The Bandits were so bad, Top Gun had a really tall kid that was unstoppable. Good times. Did any of those kids make it to Jr or college? I miss hockey now.

Many from that group are in Jr Hockey from USHL all the way down to USPHL Premier/EHL, I believe only a handful are in NCAA right now but more to go in 2023/2024. They have been a fun group to follow and report on over the years. Some have moved onto other sports at the D1 and D3 level. I enjoy looking at rosters from their Pee-Wee and Bantam minor years.

Like every age group in hockey, some are in college playing varsity hockey, others in college playing ACHA hockey, a bunch skating juniors and others who have hung up their skates.

Are there any particular players you are most interested in?

I couldn't even name kids from back then. So, many of them are still plugging away on the ice? Good for them. My son is now a sophomore at BU. Says he is still in touch with the hockey guys but I have never asked where they were, I just assumed they were in college like him, but I guess not.

Well, he goes to BU and doesn't play hockey anymore, but Yes, Fed was fun.
Right all kids that play in the fed are going D1.

Yes, could I get report of where are they now of all the kids from the 03 Fed?

Interesting. Try this, of the kids still playing higher than tier 3 hockey, how many are legacy kids? Now of the remaining players, how many of those families have an income of less than $130k or both parents have jobs such as pre~K through high school teaching, Nurse, laborer, public service ( local cop, fireman, emt , etc). Hockey at the higher levels that have real player opportunity are typically only for families with a minimum joint salary greater than $190k per year or Legacy connection. The sad part is, the lower income families are the ones paying the 10k per year for tier 3. Hockey is the ultimate predominantly white, rich sport with no inclusivity for the lower to middle class regardless of race and that’s why rinks are full of unhappy parti****nts. Straight facts. Now it’s 5:30 am and I have a full day of plumbing to do so I can pay this **** hockey bill so my son has a chance to make it to the next level.

Wasn’t that a Team Wass doing? Some relation with someone, I forget the details on how that went down. Something with Moran also? Wrong kid? What’s jackpot get for them though, good player, might be heading to the pros, Fitzy loves him.
