so what program isn't announcing who is coaching?

Bet it's the Bandits. They usually have a lot of open coaching spots

Re: Coaching announcement

Why would you even consider going to play some place where you don't know who the coach is? They should have all the coaches in place by tryouts.

hit the nail... too many just want to SAY they are on a club team. this board is littered with disappointment: the coach, the other players, the organization when in fact it is YOU.

to do it right means a two way street, does the team want you AND does the team fit your expectations. the coach is the MOST important part. there are many fine and capable town and club coaches, there are just as many duds. so do your homework. did you go to a practice: is it organized, does it flow, are obvious mistakes corrected (the player is pulled aside), are skills being taught (systems help the team skills help the player). did you go to a game: how do they run it (whichever way you prefer: run lines, special teams, or not). how do the players and parents behave. then consider the time, the money, the....

you are paying 2k more for the club experience, you should get that more in value or you are better off on town with supplemental skills.

Make sure you know what you're getting into. This is the big time baby! Your kid better **** well bring it on every shift. You should also consider contacting your local EPA (Elite Parents Association). There, you'll be briefed on how to properly assess talented kids and be able to spot who's likely going to make the draft board in 2025. You'll also be instructed on how to point out a flaw and build a reputation for weaker players so they can be cut. Thereby keeping the integrity of our league(s).
If I were you I'd also start working on your frownie face. You'll need this on long rides mainly from tournaments, but the occasional let down of a road loss to a weaker team is where it can be warranted.

Re: Coaching announcement

Guess that last guy didn't get the coaching position !

Re: Coaching announcement

Sign up now! We will tell you about the program and who will be your coach later?

Re: Coaching announcement

This is just not funny. I would not try to impress your son's new coach with humor if I were you.

Re: Coaching announcement

Well it's March 9th and we stil don't have an answer to who will be coching our team
Next year. Not a good sign- time to start shopping

Re: Coaching announcement

Just received an email that I haven't paid for registration tryouts yet. Well you tell me who the coaches will be and I'll tell you what we are doing next year! From what I hear one guy is going to do 3 or 4 teams, I'm done with that.

Re: Coaching announcement

Coaches coaching 3 or 4 teams only happen in the Cap organization, but I do like the post about EPA (Elite Parent Association)

To late to be concerned. All teams are set. Go back to town where you belong. This is bigtime and you need to know how to manage your kids career.

Two posts in a row with go bs k to town. Not hard to figure out the viper patents are wound up now that they are getting trashed on here. Just an unoriginal post much like sorry you got cut. Remember, you can't get into the elite division.

Re: Coaching announcement

With no coach announcement, need to be careful that some putsy out of shape daddy-o comes along to secure his kids spot.

Is this a new thing to be worried about? Coach seems to know the game and kids like him, but I think he's out of shape so we can't play for this team. I think our coach had high blood pressure so we are looking for a new squad.

You seem a little defensive. Elite is just a term the league uses. It's how the team competes that really matters. There are town teams out there that can beat elite teams. Get over yourself. The bottom teams don't even belong there yet the upper teams love to pad the stats. Whatever makes you feel "elite". Your kid is going to end up in men's league just like most other kids. Well, at least he'll be able to brag about his 4 goals against a forty something weekend warrior.

A little defensive is how you win championships especially elite hockey championships. To win on the dboard, you need a potent offense! Go bangs some nails or dig a ditch or something!

Great follow up. Get of the computer and go spend time with junior so you can tell him how awesome he is even though he hates you and likes your wife's boyfriend better than you.
