I was at a parents meeting when MS first came to Caps. He said he didn't want people in organization that didn't want to be there. He would grant releases to anyone not happy. Why don't you ask him about that meeting. See if he remembers.
A 1-0 loss on the last day of the season was to avoid driving to Merrimack to make an afternoon game during the week to get the score into the Fed.
You really think the forfeit was to keep a kid on the team?
Let's see, drive an hour or more in rush-hour traffic to make a game in North Andover or save the drive and take a loss that had no impact on the final standings for the Caps...
After all the F-- bombs last night at practice between the owner of caps and the commissioner -- one phone call to USA will surely get kid released. Kid should be scared to play on that team. I know I would be.

good luck with that phone call. i'm sure that'll work.
I always told my son's coaches, "Don't worry about your use of foul language, I assure you he's already heard everything there is to hear from his mother."

While I know we all slip at times we had a coach who swore and yelled at the kids all the time and it affected my Son's devrlopment. He was afraid of the coach, afraid to makeup mistakes. I dont expect the cosch to be perfect but 8 year olds shouldn't deal with that at every practice and game. As much as we tried to explain that grown ups make mistakes just like kids do it lead to a wasted year. Got the heck out of there but not easy to do mid season. I'm willing to bet this years coach has let things slip but there is definitely a line this coach crossed
O.K. I'll grant you that. Good decision by you. You know your kid and it wasn't for him so move on. But no need to trash the guy (if we're talking about the same guy) because others (including myself) have had good experiences for the most part and my kid went on to be a pretty good player partially because of him. Then again he didn't play for him until he was 10 and I will say the guys size does intimidate a lot of little kids.

Different coach for us. Just telling our personal experience that may validate what others are complaining about
If two teachers were throwing F- bombs at each other in a classroom what would happen. Parents would be outraged. Buts its ok for the commissioner of the league and the owner of the caps to throw F.. bombs at each other during a practice.
