This thread is class!!! It embodies all that is wrong with arrogant parents aiming to live vicariously through their children. Maybe Top Gun should start poaching players like the Islanders do to fill out the roster. Development isn't all about winning fella's. Being in this organization I can tell you I would never change regardless of what is offered to me. Stay classy gentlemen, and let me ask you.... Do you think Jack Eichel would have been a better player had he not played at Top Gun?
great post. finally some sanity
Not sure why you have to kick them when they are (according to you) down. Things go in cycles.
The program changed hands 2 years ago and nothing happens over night. I'll tell you this my kid loves playing for this organization and at the end of the day that is what matters right?!? Hockey is a sport and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I would rather my kid love to play hockey than only care about winning. Life has ebs and flows and in due time Top Gun will be wiping their feet on the rest of the doormats in the league.
This program is the door mat of the EHF where every other team comes to wipe it dirty feet...
What is Top Gun?
So what program do you like?
They may not be winning in standings right now but the organization from the top down is devoted to player development. One of the few organizations that is not just a "money grab".
Being "devoted" to developing players is great and all but no player is going to develop if they're not being properly coached. Not gonna happen. My kids team played against Top Gun all season and we just completely out played them despite them having some good skaters on the ice.
I am suing them. My kid plays for the kings and their horror show is making him worse every time he plays against them. Plus, having to look at the one tooth fat New Hampshire people is causing him psychological damage.
In all seriousness every time we play them it’s like this. Drive to New Hampshire, kick the crap out of the bunch of town n players, grab a slice of pizza and a beer at rink, drive home. Never any talk about “good game“.
