One win at Super Series? Who are the Clarence Mustangs (AA Team)?
The coach KP has was too much going on. Just can't keep the level of commitment up. Kids will falter because of that. BA is a good program but they are all burnt out. The top guys coach way to many skills/practices to keep a high level off passion.
My son is on this team, and you can look at the results of the superseries and have doubts about the coaches, the players, etc. However, anyone who watched any of the games, including the loss to the Eagles would agree that BA controlled the play in each game but just couldn't find the back of the net.
Hockey at this level, yes 9-10 years old, is no longer about one kid taking it the length of the ice. It's about puck movement and creating open space. With 6 of the 9 forwards new to the team it makes sense that there were some growing pains in a five game weekend with only 1 team practice before hand.
As for coach KP and TL, there is not a better combination of coaches for any team at any level in Massachusetts. These gentlemen know hockey and have the results to prove it, continually placing players in D1 schools and the NHL draft. and before you get ahead of yourselves, no, I do not think my son is going to the NHL, however I know he loves hockey, and is always putting time on his own into making himself a better player. He created this opportunity for himself through his hard work, and it is my job as his parent to reward him for his hard work and put him in the best position to succeed. The BA 06 "Dream Team" (your words, not anyone having anything to do with team), has not let me down one bit. The focus is on development of hockey players, and respectful young men and not solely on the outcome of meaningless games in September.
Oh, and don't get me wrong, this team will win, not because winning is important, but because they are creating a team, with no players more important then any other and developing hockey players. Knowing Coach KP and TL, I'm sure if any team wants a crack at us, they wont turn down a game because they worried about losing, as it will be a tool of development either way. As far as I am concerned, the OP was correct, as anyone who puts development over wins, this truly is a DREAM TEAM.
If the skills and coaching are so good then why is the majority of this team doing skills with another group. Also TL had nothing to do with this team.
I have no dog in this fight. In fact, I don't even get to that side of Boston unless I'm taking my kid to a hockey game. But who would possibly reply to this post with those comments unless they had some type of axe to grind with the organization or the people involved? Do you care that much what is going on at BA if your kid doesn't play there? And rehashing the bit about the 2002 team? Come on guys.
Are you ok... Get your head check...
Very lucky to walk away with a 2-2 vs Seacoast. Seacoast just couldn't find the back of the net.
Nothing wrong with tying the defending champs. Spartans are a powerhouse. These two teams will run away with the E9 this year.
Seacoast beat BA and VJW in shootouts to win the championship! Who cares what happened against LK in January? Seacoast is money when it matters.
The Spartans should thank the Refs for this 2-2 game. Penalties were 8 or 9 to 1 in Spartans favor, and the one PP BA got was negated 10 seconds in because of a phantom hooking call. They tried to give them the game with a penalty shot, but BA goalie is a stud.
If I read this correct no one said BA was screwed. It looks to me that everyone trying to tear this team down, and they continue to overcome, and play their game. Not sure why anyone one would want to tear down 9-10 year old kids, or their coaches. Unless their really that good, and everyone else is nervous.
go watch the Ranger game on Live barn, then you can tell me that the game was close as the score indicates. its ok though, because the offense came together on Sunday against the Pats with 8-1 victory.
MHR has them ranked behind AA teams. Seems like they have good skaters but no studs who can put the puck in the net. Haven't been able to compete with an EHF team just yet. Seem to have problems with physical teams.... That's Hingham for ya!
Nice analysis "Johnny get a clue"! You watch, BA will be there at the end. 6 new forwards trying to workout a chemistry with the D. Once it is all said and done BA will be there at the end of the year with VJW against the super powers to be from EHF. Yep, you heard it hear first. Go run and hide you EHF paranoid freaks!
Who will be coaching this team next year? With little KP going to BJT, Will Daddy KP still coach?
My son plays fot the BA 06 team! Played EHF last year, for two great coaches, unfortunately had to leave due to logistics! Couldn't be happier with KP as coach, and TL for that matter! My son didn't attend tournament in Chicago, don't know why, don't care why not! He loved EHF, He loves Elite9! Every game I attend I try to make a point of wishing opposing team good luck prior to game, as well as the BA team too! After game, try to congratulate both teams on their effort during game! Rifles played well, obviously deserved to win, congratulations to them and their coaching staff and parents! Maybe I'm naive, don't understand animosity toward 10 years old kids trying to have fun playing hockey! Really twisted mentality! Buy your son a book for christsakes!
Buy this man a beer for being so excited and a book about the proper use of the exclamation point.

Thank you barkeep, make it a tall, please !!!!!!!
2016 / 2017 - 06 BA The Greatest Team that Never Was!
What do you mean, they have 21 wins and smoked Lovell Knights yesterday, 3-0.
Resting? 10 year old Studs?
Do the studs get shipped out to other horse farms to impregnate the mares?
they have had a very respectable season this year in the E9. Outside of the E9 not so much. Several kids moving on at the end of this year.
Go away troll....Your kid got cut, get over it...
Just heard they do have several spots open bc kids went EHF route. Very good program and very good coaching.
Unless they are going to Isles, Flames maybe Terriers why leave - they are better than the rest of the EHF teams and have good coaching???
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Losing in the 16th round of a shoot out against 8th ranked CYA team doesn't seem like a bust to me
Yeah even the owners sons team lost when they played some decent competition.
check out the scores, BA beat CYA 5-2, then lost 3-2 in shootout against CYA and beat Flyers plus Gulls over the weekend. VJW beat NJ Titans, Gulls and Flyers. Lost by a goal to CYA. So tell me where you see the total dominance of all other teams against the two best teams in E9? Whats that? huh? Can't hear you now. Next time show up and play games against E9 teams before you run your mouth.
You guys playing Valley next year?
god program. if you don't like it do play for them.
How many spots are open over there? My kids a D / Forward / Goalie hybrid. Is there room, or will it be challenging to make roster.
Struggled to beat the Wizards so not much talent here.
