So give me real detail and specifics here. What makes a good coach? Knowledge and experience are a given. What do they do that makes a parent happy? Discipline? Everyone gets a trophy? Off ice chalk talk? Best buds with kids?
Serious answer. One who teaches, explains. One who is consistent. One who is dedicated. One who actually holds the players accountable. One who is fair. One who doesn't drink before games. One who runs an effective practice where the kids learn something and come off the ice exhausted. One who cares more about players getting better than winning because he couldn't when he was playing.
