Hello All. First, I did not post last week (as I mentioned in week 4 post) because it was a tournament weekend for the EHF and felt there was just too little head to head play.

Here is my 2 cents this week:

1.) MMF - There is a clear #1 in my mind - that's right the MFR, but I decided they are just too far away, and play too few games, to include them in this list. That said the MMF are #1 this week. With only 1 win against TG, you will have a better test this week. #1 plays #2. Winner is crowned #1. IHC this is your shot.

2.) IHC - Although you went 0-1-1 on the weekend, you tied and lost to a team that is #2 in the country and what should have happen - happened! That said, this weekend is very telling. Full disclosure the MMF are no the MFRs in my opinion. Good luck.

3.) BJE - Your greatest enemy seems to be consistency. You had a good weekend and scored 16 goals with 0 against. Impressive Caps win. Are you on track or is it an up and down season. This weekend the Kings and Falcons should be no match. If they are - not good.

4.) Caps - Past 3 games have not been great for you. You had a great tourney and I am leaving you here because of it. You are on warning. Terriers will be telling.

5.) Patriots - Undefeated in the E9 is pretty good. Go 3 and 0 this weekend (and you should) and you move up. Good luck!

6.) Terriers - Lost to the Rangers twice and that was expected. Picked up 1 win this weekend and you should have. Caps and TG this weekend. You should go 1 and 1 this weekend. Go 2 and 0 and move up.

7.) Jr. Rangers - Had the Aves not tied the Glades - they would be here. The lost to the Aves and tie against Advantage Ice puts you on warning. You should go 2 and 0 this weekend.

8.) Aves - You had a good win against the Jr. Rangers, but you had a tie against the Glades - that cant happen. This weekend you have Advantage Ice and Seacoast. You need and should win both.

9.) VJW - The last 2 weeks you are 1-1-1. You have Patriots and RIS this weekend. You need to go 2-1 or your out of the list. Good luck

10.) TG - You always seem so close to get on a winning track and have had such close games. You have 5 loses 3 of are by 1 goal. So close yet so far. Falcons and BJT this weekend. Go 2 and 0 and that would go a long way.

What about the beating the MMF toke from Colonials? I know it was a "tournament". The #1 team should not get smoked so bad? Thoughts?

I thought about it. Fair point and to be honest if IHC hadn't lost to them as well, maybe different. I know 1 game was 3 to 2 and 1 was a blow out, but in the end they will meet soon. I just feel tournaments are different. The Caps did very well, but it didn't translate to league play.

Top Gun beats Assabet Patriots by 3 and the VJW by 5, AVP team is not very good and plays and a not so good division of a not so good league.

Maybe, but history says otherwise. Avalanche beat them this year I believe. Patriots lost by one goal and are playing a bit better now.

correct on VJW. TG is another one that is falling off dramatically.

TG should not be on this list. They have never been good at the 05 level. why not have the bandits on the list they are one win behind (and they have no wins). Part of me thinks this is the coach or TG parent who writes this list.

TG has been the doormat of the EHF for years at the 05 age group. This year will be no different. They might have close games with a couple teams but ultimately, they are not good enough.

Top Gun and SS Kings would be 1-2 in the Elite 9 05 Division.

While TG may not have won many games, they did beat the pats earlier in the year. I believe "List Guy's" logic states ...win and move up. I smell an insider.. You have to admit, E9 is weak this year at that level. Majority, if not all of the top players have moved to EHF or play up at 04 level.

You have to love EHF guys beating their chest. To my knowledge the only real E9 vs. EHF this year has been TG vs. Avalanche and TG vs. Pats.

Go look how that went. To say TG sucks and that's why?? Really? Now go look at TGs scores against IHC and others. 1 goal difference!

Rangers only good E9 team. Patriots best players, goalie and coach went to ehf.

TG had Eagles 3-1 and switched Goalies, lost 4-3

Funniest part of these EHF dad's are that the 2 best, and only, blue chip players don't even play at the 05 level. One plays EHF 04 and one plays E9 04.

For the most part everyone else is close to each other and will depend on how they develop the next few years, not the past few years.

TG goalie best 05 in NE. Keeps TG close games no matter the opponent, league, MHR or List Guy. Record is no fluke - TG can play with anybody and games can swing either way. No dog in this fight, my kids play Town/E9.

That's funny... TG Goalie is way over rated, and he's not even in the top 5 in EHF...

He's good. They had an ok team last year. Beat a couple good teams last year. Difference this year is they lucked out with a decent goalie.

League has 6 top teams, Top Gun is far behind those teams... They are closer to the Bandits than they are to Mid Fairfield, Isles, Caps, Eagles, Flames, Terriers

This what kills me about guys like you. Why does TG have to suck for your kid to be a good hockey player? Why do you care?

Its the same guy that tells his kid to make sure the high school coach sees your hockey bag so he knows you played EHF. Grabs the coach after practice and says "I just wanted you to know my kid played in the EHF".

TG is a good team. Much better than their record indicates now. They have some good players and a terrific goalie. We certainly do not take them lightly.

Its so funny to see how many EHF dad's (IHC) think getting to the Q actually means something. Its watered down and I am positive that your kid isn't getting scouted there. The funny part is that they have a bad reputation in high schools. I know for a fact a local very good high school hockey program knows one particular dad's reputation and said wont touch that kind of controversy. Sad for the kid.

I know many IHC dads and your statement couldn't be further from the truth. They could care less and don't buy into the bought spot rumor.

Umm...1. not arguing 2. Responding to another poster saying they bought a spot to the Q. My response was those who I know don't believe that to be true.

TO is a much better team with a much better goalie. You can not ignore 5 losses by 1 goal and they are splitting goalie time.

List Guy here. Had to work all day, but did see a post saying some teams should not be on list. Maybe so, but what I try to do is write comments like " your on notice ". Or win or your off the list. My point is we may not be that far apart on some teams.

Feel free to put together a thoughtful case for any team. Please understand the List appreciates good intelligent input. And has no tolerance for negative back and forth.

I think it's pretty laughable when people say "the Q is watered down now the teams are buying their way in." Shows how little you know about hockey in this area. News flash: youth hockey didn't start with your 06's team. Teams have bought their way in for the last 30 years. The Boston Jr. Bruins and the old Middlesex Braves (now Advantage Ice) went to the Q every single year - they never had to earn their way in. The bottom line is that it's still a very good tournament and a once in a lifetime experience for the kids.

Wondering if ME ever ran a cori check on this freak of a coach Cuz what he wrote is so far from the truth it's scary. If I was this kids parents, I would be scared. Sounds like this toolbag is obsessed with their kid.Get over it, he quit your team.
