Is this year's u14 eagles team in the state tournament?

EHF supposedly has 3 bids. IHC and SSK have qualified. Eagles must beat SSK this weekend and get help Flames need to beat terriers. If terriers beat flames they are in as the third team. In other words the third team is up for grabs and will be settled this weekend. Heard that Walpole Express also in. Anyone know about other teams in E9?

Walpolr express is tier 2.

I think all of those mentioned are for the chance to play-in to make it to nationals....all of those extras get the chance to go but must win-out to make it.

Looks like Flames are last EHF team to qualify. Who are the other teams in this tournament? SSK IHC and MMF from EHF and Walpole express are in. Who else and when does schedule come out?

Express a really good Tier 2 team. And yes, they are a registered tier 2 team, not tier 1.

Then why would the enter the tier 1 tournament?,(before you say they didnt yes they did enter the tier 1 tournament ) they are going to get killed

I'm totally shocked that the tier 1 u14 state tournament has come down to the Kings vs Islanders. Kidding. As expected the e9 teams did not fare well at all and the express didn't even belong in the same rink let alone the same sheet of ice.

02 ADV taking their "beatings" playing up a year in the T1EHL U15 division, and facing local area U16 teams on their off-league weekends. Nice try though!!!!

rumor has it that BA never even registered to participate in the state tournament which is why wizards, rats, and rifles were in. teams needed to register in the summer. terriers would have and should have been in but EHF got 3 bids while E9 got 4. what was the logic behind that ? Terriers probably would have made the semi finals for an all 4 EHF playoff round. BJE would have been better than the E9 teams but not by much.

Express was in tough bracket. if they were in SSK bracket they would have been in the semi final as they were better than the E9 teams. They would have easily handled the Rats and Rifles. VJW and Express would have been a good game. Express smoked the wizards

Well I suggest you volunteer yourself and make sure your team (son's) doesn't miss out on the U15, U16, U18 tournaments. the process starts in May with the reg. fee to MA hockey. No registration completed over the summer and your already not involved in the process. Then you need to put a nice binder together with all the USA hockey paperwork, birth certificates, coaches credential (make sure he's a lev. 4 or it doesn't matter), Then you need to keep every game sheet with the USA Hockey roster on the score sheet. Make sure there are no Alts or fill-ins on those game sheets because those game results won't count. Then take a few hours, about 3, on a Wednesday night in November and attend the State credentials meeting. There MA hockey will go through each game sheet and compare to the USA hockey roster. Any funny business game doesn't count. After you attend the meeting they'll go through all the teams who registered and compare eligible results. MA Hockey will invite top couple of teams from FED/E9 if paperwork is completed. MA hockey will also extend invite to a Western MA team, an at-large / independent bid and one bid to MSPHL.

Now go forth and get it done.

Which Wizard team is in the Tier 1 ? The 02's, 03's or 04's? there is a wizard team in the tier 2 , I would assume the 03's are in the tier 1 and maybe 04's? in the tier 2, no way the 02 team is in this , they are not good

They will struggle. They have added some goodplayers for u14 but 02 wiz never had a solid core. 03's and 04's will be better when they compete at u14 in the coming years.

Why aren't the Eagles and/or Terriers in this instead of crappy teams like Rats, Rifles and Wizards. Granted the Kings or IHC will mostly likely win but shouldn't they want the best teams possible in this?

Eagles are bad and terriers are ok. Could they have replaced a couple of teams? Yes but it really doesn't matter. There are not a lot of good teams at this level. It will come down to SSK IHC and Flames. SSK will have to play one of those teams in the semi finals which give them a tougher road as either IHC or flames will get a "bye" (rifles, vjw or rats) to the final.

Exactly right. U14 is the last year of youth hockey. A few " super teams" are put together and they play each other for a trip to nationals. There are a few levels with tier 1 as the highest. These are u14 half season teams as most of the kids will play HS hockey after thanksgiving.
