This was a week of many games that didn't challenge rankings for the most part. If there is 1 thing I think we all learned this week - the MFR are the Alabama of the EHF this year! Please don't accuse me of having a kid on the MFR! I wish I did.
Week 9
1.) IHC - I told you that I did not expect you to win this weekend, but you had to compete. I would call a tie just that. Congrats you get to stay put. This weekend you will earn your keep! Eagles on Sunday. Win and stay, but lose and you go down - maybe.
2.) MMF - You seemed bored last weekend as I promised, but this weekend different story. IF the BJE beat you and the IHC - ouch and you get reshuffled.
3.) BJE- I am moving you up quite frankly because the Caps tied the Falcons. I can overlook your MFR games given they are a clear #1 - much like I did with the IHC. That said, this weekend is your shot! Win both games and you, my friend are the new king. Go 1 and 1 and its a reshuffle.
This is your opportunity. Good luck!
4.) Caps - Really? Tied the Falcons? No disrespect to Falcons, but I didn't see that coming. This week Falcons and Top Gun. I am sure you will bounce back. The week after you will be challenged.
5.) Pats - Too easy of a week. Same this week.
6.) Terriers - You want to make a statement - Beat the Flames this weekend and you will get people's attention! Good luck!
7.) Advantage - You seem to be getting stronger. Welcome to the list this week. 2 good wins. You need to beat the Warriors this weekend. Good luck!
8.) BJR - Good win against Adv. Ice. No test this weekend - you will get it done.
9.) Aves- Good win against Warriors. You lost to Advantage and they are above you. You need to win against Adv. Ice.
10.) TG - 2 easy wins - nice job. You need to go 1 and 1 to stay here. Go 2 and 0 and mad love from the list.
Warriors - off list. The Ave lose was a bad lose. You can redeem yourself and get back on list with a win against #7 Advantage. Good luck!
I am sure I will be accused of being something! That is just how I see it at this point, but many important list changing games this weekend.
As always......enjoy this time with your kids.

Thank you! If List guy came out with new list instead of working on his girth, would have below 450. Listguy is so early season! Much more interesting topics such as EHF vs. E9....
The Kings, Falcons, TG and possibly the Breakers can beat every E9 team on your list. I have seen most of the teams on the list. It is just my opinion but that is my un bias view as my kid is not on any of those teams.
Good luck to all this weekend and most of all have fun and enjoy your kids....
Do this....go look common opponents and the scores and get back to me.

According to MHR, The Patriots, who are undefeated in the E9, have played two EHF teams so far this year, Top Gun and SSK who are #7 and #9 currently in the EHF, and lost both games. I think that ends the EHF vs. E9 argument at the 05 level.
Really? You're talking about 2 games in August that were won by 1 goal? Might as well mention the Avs 2 wins vs TG in Aug as well.
Look no one is questioning the EHF is the better top to bottom league, that's a fact, but the buffoon who thinks all 05 EHF teams are better than all E9 teams is clearly an insecure and mis-informed parent on one of those lower EHF teams.
Have kids in both leagues. Top 3-4 (maybe 5) EHF teams are clearly superior, after that the E9 teams and rest of Fed teams would be very competitive with a lot of parity. It's a shame they are not allowed to play each other, would be great for the kids and reduce travel.
fact is...pats would be a low end EHF team at 05 level. May surprise a team or two on an early morning game, but certainly not top 5. That's just the facts, jack.
EHF teams have 4-5 higher end kids that carry teams. The rest are just interchangeable. Sorry to burst your bubble dad, but that is true. Have kids playing in both leagues.
Nope - the top EHF teams have 1 or 2 truly elite players which make the difference. Those are the type of kids that make up the teams like Honeybaked etc, and those are the type of kids that will go somewhere. The other 11-12 kids are very similar to everyone else in the EHF/E9 - destined to be good High School Players. And for the delusional EHF parents who think you're on par with the Honeybaked of the world, you're not. You may play with them for a game or two, but if you play 10 games you will lose 9.
Very few E9 Players move up to EHF, and further away from Mites and Squirts, its hard to do... Most EHF players cut, play in the E9 because other EHF teams are not interested as well.....
most youth Hockey players, who are discouraged playing with town team, typically go to E9 / BHL teams as first step... so E9 and BHL is filled with EHF players who can't compete or don't belong, and overachieving Youth Hockey players..

Having been through it over the years I have to say you are about right. My son had a coach years ago and parents were taking about our local team being 'AAA' and how they should only play other AAA teams in tournaments and the coach (who had won national championships at the Squirt & peewee level reminded the parents that these local teams are really AA teams when compared at the national level.
Now that the team has matriculated onto college years the kids that were on the team I think one is going to play D-I (yet to be seen) after spend three years out in the midwest playing Jr. hockey, a couple left for other sports and play them in college, a handful stuck it out and are now playing D-3 hockey, a few of the smarter kids on the team elected to go to good schools and play club hockey and by looking at it a lot of it was to what extent the kid wanted to chase the dream and how badly he wanted to keep playing. In all I'd say of the kids on a very good local Squirt team, 80% of them could still be playing somewhere if they wanted to, 20% of them could be playing D-I if they wanted to commit to it....yet only one is potentially going to play D-I.
Compare that to a Honeybaked type team and you will see a totally different picture.
