Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

SSK are the best Juniors org in the area right now. I know they had a great youth org a few years ago, not sure if they got away from that. If they did, they can get back to it quickly enough.

Foxboro has it going on, especially once you throw EPS into the mix, year round. Smart people working hard doing smart things.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Smart people? Have you had a conversation with Harlow or anyone else over there?

You mean Scott Harlow, full time scout for the Oilers? Yeah, a real tool. I mean, what hockey guy wants to work in the NHL?

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

First, if you aren't the admin I vote for banning you for life.

And, if YOU knew anything you would know that while being an amateur scout isn't uncommon, being a full time scout is pretty **** good.

Which NHL club is paying you for YOUR opinion. Thought so.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

SSK wins.... again

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

If you can't beat the best goalie in the league then go sign him!

This might be one of the most "on the nose" statements ever made on this board.

DC keeps making it to the finals and whichever team he is on wins.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

BSB and SSK not exactly top gun and the bandits

Exaclty. That 02 SSK team has been a wagon for several years and their goalies rarely see a lot of shots.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Islanders in first place at each level of Juniors.....

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Why is it so hard for people to accept the fact that the Kings are and all around elite team

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Kings don't listen to them. You guys have a great TEAM and are the only ones out there that play like a team because the parents aren't telling the kids that the scouts want to see you carry the puck all by yourself and cough the puck up and look like a complete moron.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

The Kings are one of the best passing teams I have ever seen. Every pass is stick to stick, they never throw the puck away and every kid can catch any pass that is close.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

What makes the kids good is that all the kids are close and play as a team while every kid contributes in a different way

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

SSK play as a TEAM. No one acts like a super stud that is above anyone else - they all work hard and the coach lets them play. Refreshing to watch.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

I feel bad for you that posting about the Kings was your best option on Thanksgiving,

The Kings learned the hard way each of the last 3 seasons that goaltending and defense wins championships

So when you sign the all planet goalie and best D man from the team that beat you repeatedly, that's a better plan than saying something stupid as it's brilliant ownership or new coaching or the facilities are better or we know how to pass the puck better than you do

They have proven they are better than the Islanders and Flames, not so much teams from other parts so far.

The Eagle super team gave it a good run last spring lets see how the Kings do in April

Let's not get carried away. Both players are really good players but this team played and won as a team. The SSK core from prior years plus ALL the new additions won because they have balanced forward lines that all contribute, a solid back line and yes good goaltending. The team was put together and they put egos aside, passed the puck, played team defense, worked hard, and picked each other up. Most importantly, the old SSK kids and the new SSK kids became close. This was evident in sweeping both the IHC and Flames and the league this year. Both the IHC and MMF teams did not work as a team and the results were there for everyone to see

Honestly, the SSK kids are all good kids and play the game the right way. They are unselfish and work to a common goal while putting individual goals aside. What they deserve is to be supported as the best U14 team in Massachusetts and to be supported by their peers and by the state in nationals

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Now that they have taken down the tolls it is much easier to get to Worcester

And let's not forget - we finally got rid of the daddy coach

New coaches did a great job with the kids. So did "daddy" coach. BB was never a problem. Kids improved every year and stayed on top. Emphasis on IMPROVED every year. He rolled 3 lines all game every game. He played no favorites. Didn't have PP units or PK units. All kids played special teams. The only people who had problems with old coach was parents from other team who have no idea what they are talking about.

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

SSK parents, please continue this conversation among yourselves at practice. That is a better forum.

You are right. It is better. Please go back to your miserable situation

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Sorry your kid got cut

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Now if only the MMF would wake up and figure out that the Daddy coaches are probably the issue with that group. Duh.........I shoulda had a V-8!

Re: EHF U14 Playoffs

Goodness. An SSK parent making sure the post stays near the top ... old news ... being the top U14 team in MA this year is not saying much given the competition.

Don't you know that if you play for the MMF that you are automatically guaranteed to play D1 college hockey? Just ask the parents in the stands. They've been saying it since the kids were 10 years old. Just ask WT.
