No - they had to play in every year unless granted an exemption.

Rangers will have to qualify - teams are not competitive for most part.

Rangers still have auto-bid. E9 added Patriots to auto-bid so the program wouldn't leave next year.

They were in negotiations to leave but they got what they wanted and will be staying for years to come.

Great! Now this needs to be done at each birth year as well. If a team isn't doing well they need to move down and they next best team needs to move up.

It makes sense in 2005 because the kid who scores all the goals is moving to EHF .. flames I think. And at least one of the other forwards is leaving too.

Actually, the girls' program is known as Assabet Valley Patriots; boys' program has been known as Patriots Hockey since an ownership change about 10 years ago, I think.

From the E9: Patriots Hockey to Join E9 Hockey League The Elite 9 Hockey League is proud to announce the addition of Patriots Hockey as its newest member beginning in the 2017-18 season. The Patriots have a long and celebrated history as a marquee program in Massachusetts, dating back to the early days of the MBHL, NEHL and more recently the Boston Hockey League (BHL). Over the past two season’s the Patriots transcended that prior level of prominence and emerged as one of the premier hockey clubs in the United States. Over the past two season the Patriots not only dominated the E9/BHL Qualifying Round by qualifying at essentially every birth year for two consecutive seasons, but also went on to capture six Elite 9 Regular Season and Playoff Championships in that same 2 years span.

Yet the crown jewel of Assabet boys, the 04 team, didn't qualify for the E9 this season...rangers have lost their auto bid, they will have to qualify for e9 next season and all their teams will end up in the national

yes, that is the one who is going. It's clear he carries the team... at least one other is moving to EHF but tryouts will determine what team. Not sure how competitive they will be after that
