OK coaches, here is your chance! State your case.
I am USA certified, I study the game like no other, I watch high school and college practices to better myself, I was the 1st line center on my JV team senior year, I am a great motivator. Let me know if you want to talk further.
I am losing a boatlad of hair (basically bald on top) but have great 'wings' under my cap, a bunch of fresh Bauer gear, talk with a Canadian accent, great lobby presence with the parents, Iphone 7+ that I am always on, 07' suburban with hockey stickers all over it, Myspace AND Facebook page, have 'scouted' at many levels (usually youth hockey), when not at the rink I wear a lot of denim.
I am currently working on my own skating and my snapshot. Looking for a team to coach. Hit me up.
My son's coach is awesome. He is very nice to all the wives. Even has one on one's with some of them during the week. He has a big slapper and knows how to play the 2-1 and even the 3-1. Very impressive! He has told my wife the finer points of how to take a check and score thru the five hole. Glad my son is getting so much attention.
Our coach is really talented. His kid can't skate, catch a pass or shoot however he really does know what he's doing.
Did he by any chance use to work for the Rockland Terriers? 😬
Depending on where you are south of Boston, Mike Mottau coaches the Breakers 05 elite team. The team is struggling record wise but even these geniuses on the dboard say go with the coach if the coach is good. Well, Hobey Baker winner at BC, BC HOF and NHL for 10 years. Pretty good resume, runs a great practices and is a great guy.
Coaches? Where we're going we don't need coaches...
agree 100% on the awards point. give it a minute and these dboard neanderthals will post something negative about awards. Best advice is to reach out to him about attending a practice. get a feel for his practice and if your son fits in, best of luck
If you don't want to attract criticism or skepticism to your coach (and you don't), avoid posting specific names. Be smart people, especially if you really do have a great coach leading your kid's team. Don't f--k it up. Poster is either stupid or trying to get someone to say something bad about his kid's coach.
My son's coach was a great player and is an outstanding coach, but no way I'm putting his name out here. There's no hard and fast rule about great players translating to great coaches (or not). It's case-by-case, so do your homework.
This is so trivial..if you are interested in a team or coach call up and shadow at one of their practices! That's all there is to it.
