Second year pee wees, Bantams, some later.

Basically the forward or D man who spent his entire youth hockey skating, passing and shooting, that happens to be big and athletic and maybe a pretty good baseball player can transition into a high end goalie much easier than the kid who has been an elite goalie since mites, but can't handle a puck, make a pass from the net, shoot the puck or skate well.

Look at all of the D1, pro, and NHL goalies who never played goalie in youth hockey !

Sorry your kid got cut and had to move to goalie to stay on an elite team.
