The fact that they're having tryouts now tells you what you need to know.
When should they have them? I see a bunch of teams having tryouts all last week, this week and next. Tell me genius, what dates work for you?
Well, Genius, the EHF tryouts are not supposed to be earlier than the 20th. Maybe you are not aware, but EHF sets guidelines for how early they can start and next week it not that date. So, unless they are trying out for different leagues, that poster you called genius is correct.

Except all of the Islander Tier 1 tryouts have occurred already.

Tier 1 or EMHL?
Every EHF org we have looked into hold tryouts for their elite and tier 1 teams same time and place. I would bet anyone holding them this week are for the EMHL teams. Of course that gives them a look at players early

That's interesting since their website info lists March 20 as first tryout date

OK I guess it was only the Tyngsboro Islanders.
Which is probably the EMHL team. We were told the Hawks were going to be the EMHL team
Well then you a idiot, they are staying in the tier 1 in the younger levels , the older levels are going to the mpdhl, tier 1 and mass select,1 going ehf elite

Please explain who's going to ehf elite. I highly doubt that will occur. From what I hear, it's pretty simple. All teams that played in the emhl will be going to premier league and all teams that played in ehf T1 will stay.

The way I understand it, there will be the Elite teams in EHF Elite (obviously) and two Tier 1 teams (one out of Merrimack, the other out of Skate 3). At some age levels I believe there is a third Tier 1 team. Perhaps at these age levels if one of the teams is weaker, they will enter them into the Premier.

I suspect you are correct. The last few years teams were only allowed to have one tier 1 team in but I have noticed several listing two.
As for the incoherent ramblings of the poster several posts up, I suspect that is a typical Viper Parent and didn't follow the thread to realize someone brought IHC into it and was using the quoting function to respond about IHC. Not really surprised though .....

When calling someone an idiot it probably is more effective when you don't sound like one yourself.
I am weighing my options on signing a Contract for the Vipers Elite.
Is it true that all teams are moving to PHL or all teams are staying in Fed/Emhl.
Honest help would be appreciated. None knows what is going on when I ask. I got 3 different answers from management
If it helps, the Vipers Elite does not play in the EHF Elite, they play EHF tier 1 (tier 1 in other leagues are considered elite. In EHF, tier 1 is the same as other leagues tier 1). The 2nd team played EMHL. That may be the team that is leaving. The EHF website has their tryout listed so it sound like tier 1 is staying
We are very happy to announce that the AAA teams will be playing the 2017-18 season in the PHL (www.theNEPHL.com).
The Premier Hockey League has 3 divisions: Premier, Elite, and Select which are 100% decided by Parity. The Vipers AAA teams will play in April parity and placement in whichever division will be based on their performance.
This ensures that our teams will be placed with equivalent competition.
So next season:
Tier1 teams will play in the EHF
AAA teams will play in the PHL
Mite Development will play in the NSHL

My son is on that team. There has been no discussion about the T1 team moving. Hope that helps you out. Only the AAA team is moving as far as I know.
The Vipers are consistently strong at all age groups in the ehf tier 1. They are almost always in the black division and end up among the top few teams at the end of the season. As for the emhl, it's more of the same. The problem is, there is no way to get better competition in that league. I think they'd be better off putting a second team in tier 1 at the white level. It's a dead end league and people will leave if they're playing bad teams every week. It's only their second teams that are moving to phl. Their first teams will continue to play in ehft1

Obviously your on here stirring up ****. Top team will stay in EHF and Be the Tier 1 team. All other teams will move to the Premier League and obviously you did not ask management because they would have told you.

Seems poster thought he was offered a spot on Vipers Elite team. Not sure if he was trying to stir things up or mislead by Vipers that the highest level team they have is EHF tier 1 and not EHF Elite
