Look at what the caps have done to the Friars, WNS. They decimated those organizations. Saints would do the same thing: take,take,take...Saints are the devil of RI Hockey, and the root of the problems that sprouted up the past 15 years. If you've been around long enough you know that.
04 coaches are ego driven, and the parents do whatever they say because the majority never played hockey.
Smart move to stay away from the Saints. That 04 team has 2 really good players, rest are average. But like the rest of T1 and the majority of Elite kids, they will play at the HS level and that's it.
Saints are taking kids from wherever they can. Had like 15 kids at each of the 08 tryout and 09 tryout. That pal is not elite so what benefit would that be?
Only winner as usual is the Caps. They are a heck of a lot better at business then the Saints are. Saints need to wake up and realize this ain't 1985 anymore.
I agree, that team will be under 500 in Silver next year. All the players will go crawling back to Warwick to play in SNEHC bantam Wales. You have it all figured out!
The real question here is if any of you actually have children on this team? If you do not have a child on the team it really shouldn't matter to you in any shape or form. Also why do you care how much the families are paying to an organization if it actually has nothing to do with you? (Mind you that's not even the actual price people are paying).
To me it's crazy that you are all so sure what division these teams will play in. Who cares? They are KIDS. (You all forget that). It seems like some of you are too invested in this one team which clearly again has nothing to do with you.
If you say your child would never play for Warwick or the caps then why are you spending time speaking about 12 year olds that have nothing to do with you?
Why don't we all worry about our own children and teach them to be supportive young men instead of following in your footsteps of trashing other people and organizations that have nothing to do with them. It's time people start to mind their own business!
um i guess the poster about being in Silver next season is a little closer to reality today. im sure they will end up in White but doesnt that defeat the entire purpose of uprooting the players and filling parents heads with dreams they were never going to realize. Enjoy the extra tuition, travel and criticism of your coaching ability boys. White will be a blast next season.
Do the Caps ever cut people or just keep adding more players to the roster.
He didn't score against Woonsocket and we blew them out.. Back off saints
I saw this Caps team play this weekend and sorry but I was impressed. Last year's team was terrible. This team is big and super fast. They absolutely manhandled the Woonsocket Stars. My kids team didn't make the black but it's too bad this team couldn't get in. I think that when the Eagles coach saw the hurting they put on the Stars he got a few additional elites to play on Sunday! In addition to the elites that played all weekend!
CLCF could beat most EHF Tier 1 teams, and probably several elite teams
Yeah same 2 kids to go against the caps same 2 kids. Two goals taken away and one given. No penalty's called against caps. Too bad caps didn't understand there's 4 games not one. Northstars smoked the teams caps lost too. Northstars in playoffs next season.IN BLACK!
SNEHC...EHF Silver.... WTF is that? Is this real life? Has to be floor ball or floor hockey right?
My god people, get a grip. If your child is playing at a level where this league is one of the only options.... buy a basketball.
In all seriousness follow my plan. Stay in your town hockey program next season. This spring do a skills session once a week. This summer search for a good camp, a skating camp like PV or Laura Stamm, take the $3-4k you would pay for the Rhode Island Rascals or whoever you would throw that money at and spend it on skating!!!!
Maybe some off ice training as well. Not specific to hockey. Maybe a strength and conditioning session once a week to work on quickness and strength that will translate to ALL sports.
Take the balance $ and find a skating coach next fall and winter to supplement your town hockey. Go once a week to a private instructor. Do the research they are out there.
Next year reassess.
Warwick Wave are one of the better town leagues around....A level teams at 05/06 and 03/04 age groups could challenge many BHL/EHF Tier 1 teams. They play 16 games in the EJEPL.
I'll have whatever he is smoking.
