Re: Tier 1 Black Parity

Anon
Do most Tier 1 White teams try and qualify for Black or only top half or?

It's at the team's discretion. Black could potentially have all teams in EHF Tier 1 give it a try and see what shakes out. Some of them won't obviously but there could be some interesting outcomes. Kind of like World Series of Poker- the more players that play in the more likely a few shoe ins slip up and get bounced.

But a weak tier 1 that decides to declare black could get killed for 4 games. Does that send them to silver? I can't see how teams that declare black can all get in white if there are the majority of teams trying to get into black. Someone has to be silver

It's at the team's discretion. Black parity could potentially have all teams in EHF Tier 1 give it a try and see what shakes out. It's wide open- you could have all 20 orgs opt in just for some playing time. Some of them won't obviously, but there could be some interesting outcomes. Yes so a team that gets killed in black... as well as a team that maybe just misses on a tie breaker for the last spot in Black then heads to White parity to give it a try there.

Then the process repeats and those that miss the cut in the 2nd parity tournament (as well as any that opt out of white parity all together) those are your silver teams.

So you could have a situation where a team just misses at Black and then because of top 1-2 finishers in White being a lock, you could then get pushed out of White as well due to only 4-5 spots being available for 13-14 teams in many cases. Again many teams could see themselves going from Black to Silver. Not necessarily a function of how good they are but there's just less places at the table in Black now. A bunch of these Black teams have to go to White meaning a bunch of White teams have to go to Silver.

Most of your Black teams will be made up of the organizations without EHF Elite teams and the standings show that anyway now. It's a way for like teams to play each other more.

Re: Tier 1 Black Parity

Everybody other than top two teams have to play parity for white as well

Re: Tier 1 Black Parity

Actually not. Best teams are usually other indi clubs. Vipers, Northstars

What are you actually responding to? Indi teams? Are you from the 05 Hurrucanes? No indi teams playing in parity. They are all teams in the EHF league

Non EHF affiliates

Anyone who plays in the EHF is and EHF team. An independent team schedules their own games with any team that will play them. I think what the earlier poster means is that most of the teams at the top of the EHF don't have teams playing in EHF elite which makes them that organizations Elite team. Those that have 2nd teams and no teams in Elite have their teams in the EMHL. However, their elite or highest team only plays EHF tier 1. Makes sense that they are at the top of tier 1. Question really is, why aren't they in Elite of they have two teams, and if they were, how would they really do?

Re: Tier 1 Black Parity

EHF has not, and probably will not, allow any new teams into the Elite club. All Elite teams have to vote yes, which they will not, to protect their own turf. EHF does not want to water down the talent pool like Tier 1 has.

Agreed that's why FED does it but poster is correct. Their "elite" team is playing FED tier 1.

This again? Only their emhl teams went to phl. All of their ehf tier 1 will be back again next season.
