Why Stay away?

Re: Southeast Town Cup

It's awful hockey... Just use your money and go find a skills coach or shooting coach. Hit up NESV and DAJ... Please NO More bad hockey this spring!

how do you know its going to be bad hockey? just because its spring doesnt make it bad. if anything it is a fun time for the kids. No pressure. enjoy playing with friends. Its not like scouts are knocking down anyone's doors at these things anyway.

$160.00 for four games, Another MS money grab. the districts divided so his kids can win trophies! Waste of time and money, only thing worse is traveling to his awful Summer league!

Re: Southeast Town Cup

Once again Stay Away! Go to a Pawsox game instead if you want to hang out with friends.

Re: Southeast Town Cup

Doesn't Tmac from breakers run Town Cup? He needs $ for Foxwoods

Re: Southeast Town Cup

Maybe they outta use some of $ from the money grab to pay a middle schooler to update the website.

Re: Southeast Town Cup

Looks like a one and done tournament. Feedback has not been good. This is as good as Future Stars (FMC)

im sorry your kid wasnt asked to play but feedback has been very positive. Need to fix the town lines a little but over all accomplishing its goal to sell ice and have some fun. It will be back again.

Re: Southeast Town Cup

My son did Future Stars and I thought it was quite good. Depending on which team you played, some are better than others.

I agree, the talent in Future Stars varies from town to the occasional elite kid.

But the guys at FMC do a great job running the league – the practice and game schedules always posted well in advance; updated website; a fun skills/all-star game; a social media presence that the kids eat up.

I have an 04 playing in the league and I think the exposure playing against bigger, quicker 03 kids is going to prove valuable in the upcoming season. Plus, the practices have been excellent.

For my son and I, we would rather do this than jamming 4-5 games on a summer weekend for a tournament team.

Re: Southeast Town Cup

SE Town Cup has been a blast. Kids playing together that are on the same baseball teams, go the the same schools etc.

They're having a blast and that's what counts. Good forbid a kid actually smiles on the ice or in the locker room!

I had my doubts going in but I thought overall it was a good tournament. The kids are having a great time. My kid really enjoyed playing with his friends from school who play town. Granted there are some disparities in play between the town and club kids with the club kids playing at a little bit of a faster pace but somehow that made for some competitive and fun games. It was well run with the games starting on time or in some cases early. The other parents were great. Most everyone was there just to have a good time and not take it serious and it made for a great experience.
