Re: Brick Burnout

It's not burnout , they are still very good players. Size and growth have lot to do with it - lot of non-brick kids have grown and come out of nowhere. It's weird age - give it a couple years when most have gone thru growth spurts - and it has nothing to do w/ when the hittin starts it's growth/strength issue and ability to create space.

What's the average burnout rate for a brick player? At the 05 level there are 3 kids that are still very good. Outside of those 3 the others have fizzled out.

The 01 Brick Team has 8+ players committed to play D1 hockey already and multiple players on the NTDP team.

We shall see how many actually get the scholarships rather than the publicity stunt letters that mean very little

Re: Brick Burnout

The '01 Brick Team/MMF was arguably the best team in the history of MA Hockey. Aberration.

What? Little Timmy can't skate end to end with the puck anymore so he fizzled out? Love the guys who can "spot" talent at mites by the kid who can carry the puck the longest.

Wait until the hitting starts!

Re: Brick Burnout

Burnout won't happen at the 08 level. They are stacked !!!!!

Re: Brick Burnout

Must be MP

Re: Brick Burnout

We should check to see how many brick kids end up laying bricks? Not that their is anything wrong that. I mean spending tens of thousands of dollars to lay bricks is a wonderful way to create memories. At least you got that brick hockey bag and pictures of the pizza party at the indoor waterpark in Edmonton!

Re: Brick Burnout

Dear Brick Parents,

Please don't contact your local newspaper and request a write up on your kid playing on the Brick team. If your little Johnny scores the game winner in Canada, well sure give him a shout out but otherwise take a team pic and stick it on your fridge.
