Wow! I love when a coach stacks a team to get a medal. Here in Cape Cod at the #CranberryClassic I watched the #NatickComets bring in 2 Tier 1 players from #AssabetValley to play C level.
I can assure you that 04 Assabet tier 1 girls players are not at your towny hack event, .
This tournament was mostly select and elite girls teams and you are angry that Natick brought two ringers.. Martha you just got beat by town team.. deal with it
Wolfie our C level girls got beat by 2 Tier 1 players that put up every point by Natick. Anything to win, right? There's no team in that bush league move.
Wolverine sounds like a coach in the area! Anyway the Natick Comets swept the U12 C diviion at the Cranbery Classic ane brought home the GOLD.
Yup, a town team destroyed a bunch of development level C teams. It's really embarrassing to get beat by town team out Mass whole reagrdless of what they did to win. I mean Massachusetts fall from hockey grace has been epic to watch over the years. But it is a good thing that more of your locals are hanging around to man one of the tens of thousands of Dunkin Donuts planted around Bahstin.

Wolfe, bad move. You have defined yourself amongst all people with commonsense and a consicous.
Rosters and score sheets don't lie. One major and minor player put on the team playing at C level. Pathetic.
Assabet's Red Major U 14 team containing the 5 2004 birth year players is in the Eagles event in Newton this weekend, they are not playing against your team Martha My Dear

"Martha" is a Martha's Vineyard Mommy, in size XXL sweatpants, who is in the midst of her annual winter doldrums on the island, and has nothing better to do than to complain about a kiddo tournament.
Select players have always played for their town teams, sweets. Get over it.
Use of PEG's? Wolfie, you have issues. At least use your PEG's to win an A bracket. Using PEG's to win a C level bracket is kind of gay and weak isn't it?
Hmmm Anon I would wait to see how this plays out. Natick got busted cheating and everyone knows it.
its not cheating if they are on a stamped/certified usa team registration. i have written over a dozen posts on this topic, girls are different from boys in that club teams encourage them to play on their town teams. so this 'c' level is really tier 3 or the top level of town. maybe you were just 'protected' that far down the state, but when i coached (about 5 years ago) a certain u12 then u14 town team (north shore) in the top level of MYCGL our town opponents were filled with club players. i had no issues as mine was as well: wizards, islanders, vipers, flames. and we played in states with this team --- no issues. in fact many times club line-mates were on opposing teams. the real issue is the tournament organizers ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN. i was very frank with any event i entered that my 'town' team was a mix of elite players. i did it to get a competitive tournament (we once played in a tier 2 tournament). nearly all did not care, but i would hold out until i saw who was in as for my team (and no doubt others) the parents would not be happy to travel x miles to smoke every team. i have no doubt the tournament organizers took that team because they were short one.
BTW girls hockey is a very small world, elite players all know each other, not that it was hard to figure out with the stickers on their helmets, the bag or jacket.
if these girls were skating w. Naticks 2nd/B girls hockey team that would be a problem..but as long as the girls were rostered w. USA and playing w. Naticks top girls team its ok.. regardless of division A, B OR C. Many hockey players both girls and boys play w elite programs and their town teams during the year. So don't be shocked any more when this happens Martha
The real problem in youth hockey is the associations that are pulling kids from 80 miles to win games and tournaments.. in New England it starts at mites.

Martha,
You are obviously new to youth hockey...select players playing on town teams is commonplace. There are no rules against it as long as they are USA Hockey rostered...and in this case, the Natick girls are.
Girl teams from town programs often can only field one team per age bracket...so you have wild swings in talent...as in Natick's case, they have girls who play select, BUT they also have girls who are new to hockey.
So, the trophy Natick won...it costs about $2.99. Go buy one for your bender if it's that much of an issue.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.
So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it.
Well, he gets it.
I don't like it any more than you men.

Thanks for clearly delineating what a real youth sports douchebag thinks. Only in Boston metro is your thought process considered acceptable to a few. Congrats, you are the reason why Boston will always be the true white trash armpit of all US cities.
BTW, no one wanted the trophy except for the Natick parents who seething over winning it in the lobby. It was like a SNL sketch on typical Boston backbay landfill. Natick is a laughing stock and next year will be playing with yourselves. You singlehandedly dedtroyed a tournament whose organizers did a good job trying to make the brackets competitive.
Clue #1 - Competitive doesn't mean win at all costs!

Jerry - The fact you are so worked up about this is hilarious.
The only reason MV doesn't have "select" players on their girl town teams is because MV is an ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA. Otherwise, I'm sure a few of their girls would be playing selects AND their town teams; and that's perfectly fine.

MV can be found in an ocean, not a sea. I mean you must know the Gorton's fisherman being from the North Shore. Oh, and MV is certainly no where near the middle of anything water based. Now take your ringers and go play in a B bracket next time and maybe you'll get some loving from your own townie webpage. Hahahaha
There is no rule in USA Hockey or Mass Hockey that female club players can't play on local girls teams or local co-ed teams. If a town is fine with players only being available for certain games or tournaments then so be it. The only rule that exists on the dual rostering of players is that a player may only be rostered on one National Bound team.
According to the Natick website, there is only 1 Girls 12 & Under team. where is a girl who plays club but also wants to play town with her friends supposed to play. Her options are that 12 and under team or on one of 4 Pee Wee co-ed teams.

What Natick did is perfectly kosher.
You are forgetting the Rules of Martha, which trump all other rules in terms of moral superiority. And logic.
This wouldn't happen with boys. Those players would immediately be pulled off the bench. Seen it happen. Heard the organizers of this USA hockey sanctioned event aren't pleased with with this blatant violation. Keep your Tier 1 Assabet and let Natick try w their own talent. Defending this behavior is sad.

Agree Martha for true C level brackets and it sure looks like it was by the looks of the Cranberry Tournament Website. The parents from Natick should be proud and espcially the parents of the "PEG's". It might be time to neuter the wolf.

BZZZZZZZ! Wrong answer! It happens ALL the time in boys' tournament hockey. AND it happens all the time in boys' playoff hockey. When the games become meaningful, suddenly it's a different team being fielded.
USA Hockey isn't going to pull players "off the bench." Not sure what parallel universe that happens in, but short of significantly overaged players creating a safety issue, USA Hockey isn't going to do much, if anything, even after-the-fact.

It's recreational hockey. Relax and enjoy.
And you Massidiots continue to justify the insanity! What a sad state for youth hockey. BTW, it is a rule that players can't play down for USA Hockey Sanctioned events but in Mass it is done regularly because you think it is OK to do for some godforsaken reason.
Martha I'm not sure you understand... if you have any information that those two girls are not from Natick speak up and share w. us. other wise shut your ignorant mouth.
Wolfie- already done in the appropriate manner. Naming those specific girls on this board would be irresponsible. I actually care about kids and their hockey experience.

It has nothing to with where the players live however it does have everything to do at which level they play based upon their present playing ability.
With influences like you in their hockey development it will take a monumental intervention to keep them out of crackhouses of Dorchester before they are 18.

I'M assuming that martha is older than 18 but if she ends up and a crack house because of my influence in her development as a hockey mom..well im fine w that... as long as she stays away from the game of hockey. I have always had fun on this board but this is a no win situation.
speak softly and carry a big ******* hockey stick martha
