Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

Suppose to be based on winning percentage. It’s under DOC’s on the FED website.

Yes, but that doesn't address the carpool aspect. They need to expand the rule. I mean, how insensitive to not consider the needs of Hockey moms! The EHF needs to concern themselves with how players get to practices and games in the way they run their league!

Is it an Escalade or a minivan? That makes a difference, too!

Good point on the type of vehicle. I mean, if it's an Escalade, one could argue the kid is in the carpool as a luxury. Then again, the Escalade owner has a few bucks, and everyone knows the Escalade crowd buys more embroidered team gear to wear to the games.

On the other hand, it should be unlimited use of minivans. I mean, who WANTS to ride in a minivan? Always clogging up the fast lane, french fries stuffed in the seat belt buckles, and you're always late because they don't drive fast enough. Clearly a kid that is car pooling out of nccessity.

Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

Of course the FED will take car pools into consideration so what I would do is tell them everyone involved in the car pool has big 8 person SUVs then 7 kids (8 if one of the kids has a license) can all move to the new organization...better yet tell them its a small bus and then 12 kids can move. FED wont be able to say no...its under the not so well known CAR POOL Exemption rule 78A in FED. They don't post it as they don't want people to use this loophole

Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

There is also the Shopping and Starbucks rule where it says if the rink you go to for practices is not close to a Starbucks or Shopping Center, Hockey Moms are allowed to move as many kids as possible to a closer rink. Its only fair that the FED works around everyones needs...and how would the kids get to practice if car pools, starbucks and shopping are not in the equation.

Same rune for the dads, except it's sports bars and Keno machines.

How many players can move from 1 organizations?

Can 3 players move if it's a carpool situation?

Thanks

To the OP. There are a lot of families that travel from Metro West and South of the City to North Andover. The best bet is to find a family in the area that has a similar practice time. The carpool breakup may be difficult at first, but you'll get over it.

Is that English? Are you the OP? The screen name is different. Are you one of those people that changes their screen name so you can support your own posts and "look" like someone else?

Are you looking to rat out another organization? Your organization?

if you are looking for the rules, it was posted where to find them. The carpool issue is laughable, and the D Board is having a laugh at the OP's expense.

Really? What's he asking? Is it the OP asking the same question or a new request? Love to hear how you can "tell." You can't even "tell" whether I'm "worked up" (I'm not). You crystal ball must be fogging up with the melting snow.

Oh, and unless you're a middle school kid, the "bro" thing makes you look less in touch, not more.

Sounds like the 2005 Flames took more than their allotment of players from another EHF team last year, and this guy is asking whether waivers were granted or not. Or maybe he's off base and the player movement rules were honored. I don't know, I'm just interpreting.

Exactly. Discussion board posts shouldn't require interpretation. Nobody here is a mind reader.

Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

My guess, somewhat educated based on the phone calls I have been receiving lately, is that an EHF elite team is blowing up and they are trying to rebuild it but stay in line with the rules, so they have gone outside of EHF looking for players

OP is concerned because they don't have a sport for him, but told him that is because they can only take so many players from a specific team, so another team is looking to move on and are exploring their options and because of this board they are afraid that they may have to go outside the EHF to play elite because there current teammates are not taking them with them and the new tame isn't taking them with him

Lack of scoring is their major issue. They dont have elite top 3-5 players who can score. They are second to last in scoring behind the Bandits.

What?
TP who owned the Penguins bought into the Bandits after leaving TA Seahawks. I wouldn't get so worked up about them being blown up. Do you really think the Parents of a bunch of 7 year olds plan on bringing their kids all the way to Bridewater from the Cape? Maybe a few but not the whole team. Not going to happen.

Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

Ha, that guy is a piece of work. The blowup will come when current families leave because of what he did. Apparently he told the owner he wants to coach two teams and pushed out current coaches. And yes, his crazies from the Cape will follow.

So TACC 09 and 10s are the ones really blowing up. Good for TACC.

Re: EHF Player Movement Rule

So what your saying is TACC 09-10 team is done? Or are you saying the Bandits 09-10 team is done?

Just because TP is leaving one organization and going to another doesn't mean a team slot (09-10) are leaving with him. There are many other coaches that handle can handle the 'coaching' of 8 year olds.

If he is taking his 09 team with him from TACC to Bandits, I guess, but are all the parents going to leave with him? That is a big commitment if you live Mid-Cape.

All sounds like Barstable Youth Hockey is going to be the beneficiary and get enriched with new signs ups. Afterall who is offering a better product on the $1800.00 or $3300.00 price tags??
