I put the stuff right in the washer with regular detergent and a bit of Borax. Fresh as a daisy.

Also, the (newish) Bauer skates can be washed in the washing machine (gentle) if you just remove the blades.

But overall, hockey players seem not to care about stink. Locker room in men's league, a nightmare. Wash your stuff, people!

Bull, kids equipment stays in bag almost all season, stinks to high heaven. When the weather is warmer he will air it out in yard.

Smells horrible.... the way hockey equipment should smell ! I do appreciate the numerous kids that can barely skate but they smell like fresh febreeze when they skate by !

That must be why my kid always says it smells like roses when he dekes the defender! I thought he was having some emotional moment that I didn't understand.
