6\'6\" with skates means 6\'4\" without skates - yes, tall, but not unusually so. You can find 6\'4\" kids on almost every hockey roster Juniors and up.
I get that but you make it sound like it’s no big deal. 6’4” is significant for a goalie when you consider wingspan, leg reach, etc.
A 6’4 kid has an immediate advantage in any scouts eye.

The Quinnipiac kid from the old Springfield Cathedral was a legit 6'5" and could barely stand-up on skates and they've made him into a goalie. So anything over 6'2" / 6'3" is possible I suppose.
