Team is BLOWING up. Headed to the semi finals of the Quebec tourney, kids and parents are having the time of their lives. Envy is a sad sad trait my friend, enjoy your Coors Lite in the RISC parking lot!
You heard wrong. He announced to team three weeks ago this would be his last year. He’s going to coach his younger son.
I thought he coached his younger sons team a couple years ago and was fired after they went winless in the EHF. If he does coach his kid one thing will be guaranteed his kid will be on the ice for PP, PK and never be on the 3rd line no matter how bad he is. The entire 05 EHF saw it this year and many parents were frustrated. If DB is the coach run for the exits.
EHF tournament has stronger teams than the Q. Long way to go for average competition.
It's actually just about all the same teams in EHF Tourney plus some others you would see in most Elite tournaments. I guess it's about the "experience". In my eyes, the Brick is more of an honor.
Good luck Eagles! Stop the bashing. Q wo billeting is another tourney. Some good teams some not so good. Quebec as a city has a lot to offer so it’s a great experience. Brick kids were selected individually. Brick 05 only had one weak team Chicago. The rest were top. Q had several weak teams.
No one bashing Eagles. It's great to see a local team win any high-end tourney. It's just the hype and craziness of the Q tourney that is mind-boggling.
Too many of the good teams aren't paying in it to call it a good tourney. Super Series have more to offer these days.
Just enjoy it as a vacation.
As far as team blowing up…. it is just that some kids will be in 8th grade next year and are eligible to play high school at certain prep schools.
Agree there is lots politics with how gets selected for the Q, but it’s still a great tourney.
Not sure what prep you believe will offer spots to 13yo 8th graders next season. My oldest plays for a high level prep and we don’t see any 8thgraders cracking varsity and for the most part the 9th graders who play are 16.
YOUR kid has no shot of getting into a school like dexter.
Btw only one eighth grader on the VARSITY roster who has a well known hockey name. I’m going to go out on a limb and say your bender doesn’t have similar lineage.
