So the 07 Ct jr Huskies lost some kids and replaced them with nothing. Are they seriously going to go into the season with 9-10 kids. Going to be a long season in Enfield.

dosent help the fact that the 07 AC wants out to go to the Rifles, either way its his fault the team blows, now nobody wants him or his kid.

Can you explain how you can blame an assistant coach for blowing up a team? Having been a paid, non-parent coach for many years, I can tell you it doesn't work like that. If you want to place blame this is the order:

1) Owner
2) General Manager (if applicable)
3) Head Coach
4) Assistant Coach
5) Parents

In the case of the CJH there is no GM. So you have to look at the Owner(s) and HC. I've heard they are one in the same for the 07s but not positive. If the assistant coaches are horrible, it is the responsibility of the HC to deal with the problem and/or remove them from the team. If the HC can't or won't take action it is the responsibility of the owner to then deal with the problem and/or remove the HC (and AC). No different than the business world.

The AC from last year was previously the HC, The new HC Coach is also the 05 Elite HC, which is a solid team. The 07’s lack of success is mostly derived from the organization not cutting kids when needed. They have kept kids on the team that have been there since MDP , while not picking up the kids who were clearly better at tryouts in years past. So now kids just don’t show up for tryouts. Why bother if you know going in they won’t pick up any new kids. In the organization this is the only birth year that does this. Most other birth years have solid teams in the organization. The 06’s were horrible, but they tried new players and made changes again this year. The 07 coach just keeps throwing the same kids out there hoping for different results.

Then why do you care? Tell us the truth.

nobody or nobody of any skill or half way decent players came to Enfield for the 07 team it was a GHOST town at tryouts!.....its broken and will stay broken until they get solid coaching and a few (10 ), solid players it will stay a bender team. Players left for reasons. They only have a few more years anyway until the team blows up for bantam major.

The reason why players never came and or wont come is that they are sold something that seldom happens along with brutal parent coaches and a HC who is never there and frankly is not very good either, Just there to " keep the peace ". 07 Mid Fairfield ( very strong program and very good team ) and the 07 Chiefs ( great coach and eventually will be a solid team ) are too far to drive for western mass kids so looks like Rifles may be your best bet or MM Flames.

What 07 Chiefs Coach is a nice guy? The new one who was fired by the Jr Falcons and gets run out of every organization he goes to. Or the short bald guy who screams non stop, or the tool in the shirt and tie who plays his kid non stop. The Chiefs are more messed up than Mass/Conn, and cost almost $2k more.

MFF is a top notch program and way to far for most kids in WMass/Northern Ct.

Mass/Conn should actually implement what they preach , all this talk of a singular training and practice models is so far from the truth. They keep the Tier 1 and “Elite” teams so far away from each it’s not even funny. Even during the skills sessions they separate them. At least at the Rifles they actually try to build kids up to eventually play on the top teams. Something Mass/Conn claims but doesn’t do.

This is true. Mass Conn builds a wall around the elite teams, which doesn't give the T1 kids any developmental opportunity or chance to measure up themselves with better players on the ice. Plenty of chances to do this, but they don't. May be the way most programs operate, but seems like a bad approach since plenty of elite kids at the mite and squirt level will be no better than T1 at pee wee/bantam, and vice versa. Missed opportunity to develop your top players from within.

LOL, This poster has no clue what he is talking about. Stay at the rifles tool box! why all the hate toward the CJH and Chiefs? Did the HC cut your kid, if so get over it dude? Both head coaches are very good and CJH will be just fine with the team in place and coaching staff, go worry about your own skill sessions and hockey models that aint helping your son very much.

its bad enough we have to drive to the stink hole of a place and now we have to drive there AND WHOOP up on them in a B2B games, better off just cancelling and taking the loss and save my family the 6 hour day. Better yet, just boot them from the league and do all of us a favor up here.
