What's amazing is that a writer from NHL.com can look at that and not know that is far from "a full-sized indoor ice rink."

Not sure why that makes him a "lunatic hockey parent," though. Just a rich one.

Because you don't have a day to day job but you would sell that place so your run to hockey practice a couple times a week for part of they year isn't an....hour?

He explained his reasoning. It isn't just the hour drive. Like most things, it's about the money.

It's called....when the $ is no longer rolling in you need to adapt your lifestyle/spending so the money that was acquired as a player can sustain a living for the next 35 non playing years of your life

There comes a point where a house (or two or three) becomes more a part of a diversified investment portfolio than a home, no different than stocks, bonds, and cash.

Buy low, sell high. Maybe you've heard that saying?

More a Diversified investment portfolo than a home....LOL... He built a hockey rink in the house.
