AYHL 08s

Any movements of kids between teams. Any teams taking a step back and others going to surprise?

Re: AYHL 08s

Obviously the LI Gulls will be good!

Re: AYHL 08s

I know the Gulls were good last year, but why this year??

Re: AYHL 08s

Boston Jr Eagles could be in that division next year.

Re: AYHL 08s

are they leaving the fed? Why

Re: AYHL 08s

Who are the Boston JR Eagles?

Re: AYHL 08s

So there are 08s from Mass/RI that are moving to the LI Gulls? Or are we just talking Mid-Fairfield kids?

Better question is who are you?

Seriously. Who the freaking cares about player movement at this age? Come back to here in 8 years and maybe we can have a good chat.

Re: AYHL 08s

this may sound surprising but the world does not revolve around you and what you are not into, others may be, so if you come across a topic that bores you, all you have to do is move on and pretend you never read it. I will offer that advice to you for free this time, its my pleasure

Re: AYHL 08s

Hard to pretend you didn't read something as idiotic as 10 year old player movement in the AYHL. Just worry your little johnny developing rather than everyone else's kids. You will be better off for it.

again, pls refer to my initial post. I know your IQ is very low but I am confident that if you read it again you will be able to absorb that information

Re: AYHL 08s

Other than a really strong Gulls team what other teams look strong in the AYHL?

Only reao team in the AYHL 08 is the Gulls. Rest of AYHL is AA hockey with a third A added for $$$.

There's a lot of truth to this. There are way too many "AAA" teams in NJ and Eastern PA, and the talent is spread too thin. Teams like the Avalanche, Colonials, Mercer, Royals, and Valley Forge have a few AAA caliber players, but the majority of the rosters for those teams are AA level talent. The Gulls have done a good job of consolidating talent on LI, outside of 1 player on the Royals. The Gulls picked up 2 kids who are coming from PA (that should be a lot of fun going to and returning from 3 practices each week), 1 kid from CT, and 1 of the best forwards from the BJB team last season, who moved up to MA last year for the Brick tournament. They have a lot of talent and will run away with the 2008 AYHL this year.

Really, 2 kids traveling from PA to LI Gulls. Not sure what youth hockey is coming to. Those kids easily could have played for decent Virtua team and made them more competitive. Have fun winning every game 10-0.

I got an even better 1 - the AYHL website has a kid from Tampa, FL listed on the Gulls roster. Nothing like flying up the east coast for games and practices for your 10 year old!

Re: AYHL 08s

Must be loading up to win the AYHL. Congrats.

Re: AYHL 08s

so you are only AAA if you are ranked in the top 10? AYHL had 7 teams ranked in top 40 in the country in their 08 division.

Re: AYHL 08s

and 07 league had 3 in top 15

Rankings do not mean much at the squirt minor level.

Can anyone explain why any of this makes sense?

Re: AYHL 08s

It doesn't. But it goes to show the warped mentality of some parents out there.

BJB had no "best" forwards because the entire team stunk. Worst Bruins brick team since the program started.

He must be moving to Long Island to play hockey because he couldnt make a top EHF team.

Way too many teams in MA. See prior discussions on north/south 6 team divisions.
