But do you leave your kid alone with him?
I get $7,500 and team pays my tourney travel/lodging costs. Oh yeah, team give 100 pack of Trojans as well. Don’t want to accidentally bring more benders into the world with those hot hockey mommies!
"A 20-30 something year old kid should love beer, parties and trying to bang as many chicks as possible. And hockey with his buddies 2-3 times a week still living the dream."
who says that they don't still do these things? and if they don't, wouldn't that actually make them a better role model for your young athlete? just because a young adult gives back, doesn't mean that he is a predator, doesn't mean he has an agenda besides bettering the next generation of kids who play the great sport of hockey (or any other sport), and sharing a lifetime of experience that shaped him/her into a responsible and upstanding member of society.
the OP is obviously dealing with some personal issues. don't blame the people that are trying to make sure that today's kids are receiving the life lessons they experienced through hockey.... through coaching, teaching, etc.
Do you go onto the local teachers D-board and ask why single teachers are not abolished, as they too must have an agenda other than teaching?
Do not project your own lack of motivation and civic responsibility onto the young adults today who actually give back to their community. You sir, are likely the definition of "High school hero, real life zero"
You should try volunteering for something sometime.
actually, never mind, you obviously are not someone I want influencing my child.
