I saw them play last weekend. They are clearly a well-coached team that moves the puck very well and plays good hockey. They're in a very solid division overall, except for BJE and Isles being pretty dominant, even though the Kings showed they could play with Isles.
The fact is that their record last year to this point was almost identical to where it is this year. In fact while they have scored more goals they have given up more goals at this point then they did last year. And if you are using isles as bar they lost last year 6-2 in first matchup this year 6-5. So some positive gains on O but not enough if you are giving up over 4 goals a game.

The same can be said for all of the teams records from last year to this year...BJE and IHC are outliers again...Why??? Because they have more skilled players and because they draw from a larger geographical area....SSK will be in the top 6 again...It is what it is for a few more years...Same can be said for 04 and 05s and 07s...its not hard to predict at these age groups...standings will be pretty much be the same next year as well...as long as your kid is developing at these age groups thats what you want ("hopefully") as a parent...Theoretically, Standings mean nothing at this age except to the delusional parent...
They cant hang with the Isles, the Isles just stopped playing because it was too easy.

Are they isles or eagles level? Heck no and no one is in this division. The tie to bsb this past week was a gift which is more proof of that. 2 penalty shots granted in a peewee game? The kings had a very competitive game against the Huskies this weekend. A few kids going to the Junior Mounties next season.
They are supposed to beat the Huskies...Everybody beats the Huskies...and the Jr Mounties don't even have a team or league right now...False news if you ask me...
