Tier 1 is Elite
There is no such thing as Elite youth hockey. All these teams are Tier 1 teams or AAA. The EHF Tier 1 is Tier 2 Hockey. If you believe otherwise you are stupid. The BHL/E9 is also the same. E9 is Tier 1 , BHL is Tier 2. NEPHL is all Tier 2 (if that). Have a nice day , and tell your wife I said hello and have her call me.

Thanks

You couldn’t be more wrong.

No better example than 06 TG.

They took the best D from - guess where? - T1 Manchester Flames and a top F off the Vipers. Now they’re top 3 in the Elite bracket.

But how? They’re T1Black kids.

Please.

Go check the mail. I’m pretty sure your D1free ride ticket was FedExed last night.
No....you couldn\'t be more wrong, as his post is spot on. Sorry you are new to this but you will eventually realize that EHF is a has been and continues to trend downward !

Dummy...his post has nothing to do with the EHF, BHL, E9, or fricken men\'s beer league.

It\'s amazing what a little marketing will do to parent\'s perceptions of their benders.

One other thing, EHF vs E9/BHL people are the worse. Go find yourself a good coach who cares for the kids and shut up.
Hey dummy,

His post has nothing to do with EHF, BHL or E9 ???

The post literally says " The EHF Tier 1 is Tier 2 Hockey. If you believe otherwise you are stupid. The BHL/E9 is also the same. E9 is Tier 1 , BHL is Tier 2."

So his pots definitely has something to do with EHF and BHL hockey.

In any event, sorry you think you are smarter than everyone in the room... but. The follow up post was saying that he was spot on about Teir 1 hockey being Teir 2 level hockey, talent wise.

I think the point of the original post is that there is no such thing as "Elite" level hockey. Look at MyHockeyRankings.com, E9 and EHF Elite teams are considered Tier 1. BHL, NEPHL and EHF Tier 1 teams are all considered Tier 2. The "Elite" moniker is just a ruse used by these leagues so that they can sell their Tier 2 teams as "Tier 1."

The real issue is that most parents think "THEY" are Elite...You've seen the type...Team jackets, Star-Bucks coffees, Range Rovers and dimes in their penny loafers... :joy: :joy:

No one made any mention of a kids ability. But yet you somehow managed to get that out of the post.

I’m sure the poster was talking strictly USA Hockey designations. Which is 100% correct, there is no such thing as elite youth hockey. And those two kids who you are speaking of came from both organizations top teams to TG’s top team.

Here’s where you missed the point, just because USA Hockey says you are a AAA team. It doesn’t mean said team has AAA talent. Same as AA teams , there are plenty that suck and plenty that would beat the snots out of most AAA teams.

In the end...They all end up in the scrap heap that is "Beer" League...Only difference is some got a better education along the way and were able to play HS/prep/jrs and maybe some college...

It may be a good idea to have a split schedule say starting Dec.01 or thereabout. Move the top six EHF Elite Teams from each birth year into one bracket and the second half into the other. Change the schedule so that teams only play teams in their bracket for the remainder of the season. Top tier get auto bid into playoffs with the top two from second bracket. No value in the top teams playing the lower bracket teams for half a season.
Original OP here, to the English Teacher and any other wing nut that doesn't get.

A parody; also called a spoof, send-up, take-off, lampoon, play on, caricature, or JOKE is a work created to imitate, make fun of, or comment on an original work—its subject, author, style, or some other target—by means of satiric or IRONIC IMITATION. As the literary theorist Linda Hutcheon puts it, "parody... is imitation, not always at the expense of the parodied text." Another critic, Simon Dentith, defines parody as "any cultural practice which provides a relatively polemical allusive imitation of another cultural production or practice." Parody may be found in art or culture, including literature, music, animation, GAMING, and film.

Parity; the state or condition of being equal, especially regarding status or pay.

Some may feel equal based on the money spent for the category or title a organization has place on their child, even with a winless record. The parents feel good. Money is no object, little Johnny is Elite after all. Truth is he SUCKS and so do you. Playing against garbage competition hurts truly Elite, talented kids. Indubitably skill level, abilities and interest will change over time. New England hockey is declining. Cost, talent pool, over specialization, under specialization, coaching, skills and whatever else the you want to say are contributing factors.

Some great points have been brought up about development during practices and good coaching. My intention was to try to begin a robust discussion on this discussion board in regards to the lack of parity which has become a parody amongst Elite programs. If only a handful of programs truly have Elite teams then allow them to play each other for the second half of the season. No, it isn't boring. Much rather play a handful of close games than observe a 20-0 BLOW OUT.

Regarding your last paragraph. A lot of top teams dont want to play the other top teams because they are worried their myhockeyranking place will drop. They like playing weaker EHF Elite teams bc it actually helps. Nobody cares about development here.

Not the "english teacher" but willing to wager you didn't intend to label parity a parody. You just misused the word out of ignorance.

You should thank the english teacher because you took the initiative to learn the difference. You are actually less ignorant than you were a day ago.

By the way, "ignorance" doesn't have a negative connotation by definition. It's taken on that burden over time through misuse. We are all ignorant on a great many topics.

Oh, and the "O" in "OP" means original. So saying you are the "Original OP" is redundant.

Or are you going to claim you knew that and did it with deliberate intent as well?

Re: EHF Elite Parody

Hey OP, in what age division are there 20 goal blowouts and the top teams beating the each of the bottom five by 10 every game?
