For a league with the best competition, best talent, best coaching....they sure are advertising and ramping up the PR machine quite a bit. Makes me think they are struggling to fill the lower tiers with bodies. The Elite level is almost inarguably the best league around from top to bottom. But the lower levels really are thin. Why on earth would you play silver or white level ehf hockey rather than town?
My kid made an elite team for next season and chose to stay with his White team. Competition is good in white. Kid has developed obviously because he was not elite material in the past. Great coaching and we supplement in off season with lessons. Parents are delusional about league and division. Let the kid have fun and if they have a passion coupled with hard work they will compete and make it to next level.
Great choice. Play with friends. Somebody on the board gets it!
Town? A kid has no chance of getting drafted if they only play town. Tier 1 white and silver's where it's at!

White and Silver are much better than town. It is organized, has solid scheduling, good competition. Not everyone has a dream of their kid playing in the NHL. Some of us just want the kid to have a great hockey experience and move on to high school and the beer league. Sorry you think that $3k is a lot of money to teach a kid the game of hockey and how to be a great human being. Those of you bashing the league clearly have some inferiority issues you need to work out. Yes, my kid does play in the white and he loves it. Money well spent.
E9, EHF/USPHL any level, PHL Premier/Elite. They have all become status symbols for parents to feel good about themselves. It's just like why BMW makes so many different models of their cars. So the guy driving a 3 series can think he's just as good as a guy driving an 8. You can't pimp your kid out in town warm up gear without the fear of judgement from the other hockey parents. So you pay an extra $2K to get the better looking warm ups.
White and Silver and BHL National equal one word.....Dog **** of all Dog ****.....save your money and play local house its just as good. PHL and BHL National have some decent teams at the top of their standings that compete with low level E9 and EHF tier 1 black teams. At least in the age groups my kids play in.
