Looks like MSC is moving forward with the hockey academy. Dorms are being built as we speak. My question, can they sign enough quality players before next September, and more importantly can they recruit enough Quality coaches?

MSC hockey academy? Any idea of which grades and cost?

U14 through U18...go to Mount St charles Hockey academy website...all costs are listed there...Coaches are proven guys from South Kent...probably going to take a couple years to really kick into gear...but from what Ive heard most teams are pretty close to full...

If you're questioning the coaches they have lined up for the academy then you're obviously clueless. Don't confuse this with Jr Mounties program.

Or with RI HS hockey.

Glad to hear going with outside coaches. Due to the stringent timeframe I was curious if any RI High School coaches would try to slime their way in.
DB (and his dad) are the only high school coaches in RI that have a clue.
Every other HS coach in RI should not be coaching past peewees.

Obviously you have had your head in the sand. The coaches were hired almost a year ago. They actually left South Kent with the stringent timeframe you mention when they left last year leaving South Kent to find coaches quickly.

A total of 4 teams, u14,u15,u16,& u18..... hard to believe they were able to get 8-12 coaches from South Kent to commit before they signed 1 player, never mind secured funding or permits to build a dorm. Mark my word, there will be some familiar faces.

What a sh*thole. Bandbox. I think I preferred the Hockeytown street hockey rink on the second level when it was actually ice.

Correct..And they have commits from kids in other countries already (Finland, Sweden etc). They are spending $3.5 mil on the dorms, and former NHL'r BB will be Directing it. Also the longer term plan is to replace the current rink across the street with a new Ice Center.

Not sure how anyone can disagree with what is going on down there and call it crap. It hasn't even got off the ground yet and they seem to be off to a great start.

The JR Mounties program is a different story and only casually connected to the Hockey Devel school.

There are 5 coaches listed on the website and BB as skills coach. Even counting BB as a full time coach that averages out to 1.5 coach per team.
