They are the only team that improved the correct way. My kid doesn't play for them but I have been watching them. Small core group continually getting better. That drew better players....I never heard of TG poaching players. Whereas, Eagles, Flames concentrate on recruiting. Hats off to them...wish I lived in NH.
You are def a TopGun parent. "improved the correct way", lol. Just wait until your kid is replaced by one of these "non-recruited" players. The reason you've never heard of TG poaching players is because the second they can replace your kid, they will. They barely had enough kids on the roster to last season, and now all of a sudden they have a full team, and it was because they didn't recruit, give your head a shake. So 5 or so Elite level kids just moved to the area and needed a team??????
You made my point. Two years ago they didn't have enough kids. The criticism was they were using alternates. Last year, they moved up in the standings after being a bottom team. This year they beat the Eagles in the playoffs...who did they steal? They didn't take half of the Islanders to do that? Their core team is the VJW team that they developed over the last 4 years. There aren't kids driving from Hingham, VT, Duxbury or CT to play for them like the other top rated teams. My kid doesn't play for them. its a small hockey world....
Pretty sure 2 yrs ago was the year TG was in the basement. Last year they moved up the standing because they replaced the whole team, this is when the VJW kids came over. They used a ton of alternates because they didn't have enough kids on the roster. Why would they need half the Islanders to beat the Eagles, didn't they finish in 7th?
They recruited a bunch of kids for this season, while showing loyalty to the core by cutting 2 kids from the original VJW group that came over with them(G & D). Like I said, They will have more kids on their roster this season, so where did they all come from? They didn't just magically show up at tryouts and they sure didn't develop them from within the program........

There is a difference. Eagles recruited 3 former brick players. Why? Because they want to win the EHF and those three players parents want to be part of that and they are willing to drive hours a day to be in a winning team. The question is are they developing players or attracting the better players to win. Then you have TG. Why would the 2 players you mentioned go to a 5th place team? To hopefully be in 3rd place? Or is it the right reason? The 08 coaches are doing something right. I get it, you don’t want to give them credit. Again, I wish I lived 20 minutes away. I would have had my kid try out for them. Instead, I’m part of program that cut three kids instead of working and developing them. We aren’t working on the core. Our coach is drooling over the top kids.

Sorry your kid didn’t get recruited to the Eagles.

Enough with the “Brick Kid” title. There are maybe 3 kids that deserve to be called “Brick Kids” from that team. There are much better players in the league than the “Brick Players”. We all know it’s a great tournament, but there are many kids that have surpassed these “Brick kids” just in the EHF alone. Enough with how great these kids are.

Everyone needs to remember: a second place E9 team went to the Fed and is taking over.
And how did TG get better this year? By bringing in top E9 talent. Parents are driving past their local club teams to go to TG because of the coaching and the other parents. Both are good groups.
If 11 is taken out of the game they lose period end of story! One trick pony sure other kids can score maybe...? but its 11 that you have to worry about. After 11, no depth! So basically teams take away 11 and you have a 70/30 chance of winning... ?

TG is a top 4 team, maybe better. Without #11 TG is still a top 4 team. Depth is real good. By the way, who talks about taking a kid out of a game at this age?

My son’s team played vs them at the CCM a couple weeks ago. They looked pretty deep to me. 11 was really good along with some other forwards. Definitely deeper than last year’s team. Defense looked much stronger as well. Didn’t look like a one trick pony to me.

Def a TG parent. That is the most ridiculous statement ever. Based on that statement you must have been going to all EHF practices for every team in the 08 division to see how each player has developed within each program. TOOL!!
