Re: U14 wizards

Top team is picked with top tier 1 players, many from EHF, the 2nd team will be current wiz elite and prob tier 2 players who want a shot at possibly playing e9 but likely American after parity. The e9 gets stronger for u14 plus, many good players want full season as many kids are prep 8 th graders who stayed back. In the 2nd half it kind of blows up as some the 9 th graders make varsity or JV but then com back for nationals. That top team will be very strong for sure
You’re a fool. The top team has no less than 5 current EHF Black players. Most of them were E9 players who left for black, and are now going back to E9.

New Mid team coach will allow some returning wiz Elite players on that roster, but ownership is thinking he brings some of his existing players with him to the Wiz.

Good players? Definitely. Top tier 1 players?... that’s funny. If they were top tier 1 players they’d be playing split season and getting ready for prep, Not playing full season club against 8th graders.

Sit down Lenny
So which teams are those split season ones for prep 9th graders?

It's irrelevant. The true top tier kids scatter to split season, because starting at Varsity or playing Prep is a viable option for them.

If your kid makes Belmont Hill or any prep school of note, are you letting your kid play full season club? No. If your town high school coach assures you your kid will be a 1st or 2nd liner as a freshman, are you playing full season club? No. These are the true top tier kids, and by-and-large they aren't playing full season.

There are rarely any top flight teams from Mass at u14 that get to Nationals at T1 anyways. In the last 5 years- maybe the Jr Eagles 2 or 3 times. I can recall SSK once, and Terriers once. Thats it. Mid Fairfield does it consistently but I haven't heard of any psycho parent making that drive (though I don't put it past any Greater Boston hockey parent)

Im pretty sure the 06 Eagles Elite parents made a pact to stay together one more year, they'll be in the hunt to make nationals. After that, not a single full season team in Mass will get even close to making nationals. Certainly not this Wiz team they're putting together. They'll be fine, they'll have fun, and do well...but Nationals? I don't see it. Good team? yes. National bound top tier team? Nope.

Re: U14 wizards

tough year for the better 06 8th grade players.

Re: U14 wizards

Who is this new mid tier 1 coach or what team is he currently coaching ? Plus would the top team be half season or filled with 8th graders staying back? Weird year, lots of jockeying

Re: U14 wizards

Top team, full season with a few 1/2 season players.
New coach is rumored to be JR from IHC black. But who really knows? If he's leaving who's the new IHC black coach going to be?

Re: U14 wizards

KF is coaching tier 1 or elite for sure, JR would be Tier2 if happening ?
