Re: MA guidelines

Are we talking rules or guidelines?

Definition of guideline : a line by which one is guided: such as : a rule or instruction that shows or tells how something should be done : a rule about how something should be done

Note the word \"should\"...can we get a lawyer here to confirm or deny that guidelines are flexible?

Calling Cap A....

(oh that's right, she's only a real estate lawyer)
Paralegal. Huge difference.

The "guidelines" are issued in conjunction with an Executive Order. Executive orders are not law. However, my understanding is that the way these are being enforced is that failure to adhere to the guidelines will be charged as a disorderly persons offense. So, "should" becomes "must" at the discretion of the AG's office.

You'll notice that recently, fines have been specified. This is likely in response to challenges to the fines levied.

Re: MA guidelines

RI players are on ice at practice in MA every day. MA players are on ice in RI everyday. This isn't being wnforced and if everyone just uses some common sense it will continue without issue.

No one with any grip on reality has said that hockey is going to create an issue. The hockey community didn't put the travel ban in place, the Governor did. Of course it's not enforceable. nor is it creating issues. Cases in NH are down the last several weeks despite all the tournaments held. and if case rates do begin to rise, it won't be from hockey players.

Now, parents that know their kids are infected, or that they are infected themselves, that fail to be smart should be made to pay.
