U15 hockey in general is not very good. There are a small number of high level U15 teams that will compete Nationally. A better route is to play U16 for the next two years. This coming season this would be 05’s and 06’s playing on U16 Half season teams. A much better alternative for obvious reasons.
as an 06, if you can get on a good u16 Tier 1 National bound team, do it. Hard to do. outside of Eagles and Flames, forget the EHF teams. Beast League teams is the way to go depending on where you live. Also, if you can get on a U16 Tier 2 with a great coach, do it. as the other posters noted, bigger, faster stronger than u15 so your kid would be better prepared for HS. the key is that you have to have really good coach. If not, find a good u15 tier 1 National Bound team that plays in the Beast league. PLenty of really good tier 1 u14's will be playing u15 tier 1 next year. however, some of the high end 06's (not mine) will go u16. Hope this helps, good luck
spot on, looking at a few good u15 NB, but there are only a few. 2nd option is to go u16 tier 2 with a good coach.
You dummies actually think playing at AAu16 is going to prepare your lousy benders to play against 18 year olds? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
If your kid is good, then he's good. Playing u15 or u16 is irrelevant. He either has it, or he doesnt, he's either gone through puberty or he hasn't. You think sniffing a 16 year old's jock is going to somehow get him ready to play with juniors or seniors? Laughable.
