Rumors are swirling BA will go with 2 “equal”
U-14 teams next year. Internal evaluations and then teams picked to be comparable.
Isn’t U14 the year to load up?
LOL - Parents ego's wont even allow them to admit they are on the lower team ? so they say they are making two equal teams. I love the stupidity I have heard this summer surrounding hockey.
One team is all kids looking to play HS/ Prep school the following year so they can role right into split season the following year.
The other team is players mostly looking to play at academy/ full season the following year so they don’t need to bring in 20 next season for u15.
It makes a lot of sense for the long run but for the parents that are trying to chase nationals it doesn’t at all. Also brings in more money and that’s all they care about.
At the end of the day, the talent level will be lower on both teams due to the fact kids will choose either path. Good for the kids and families being able to choose a schedule that fits, bad for the product and nationals. I smell an exodus.

You must be the dad of a loser on the bad team. We’re all laughing at you.
Hey BA Dad, this is pretty simple. Which team has blood lines to the owner of the entire program? You think related and closely related members are gonna get stuck on the inferior team? Clearly one top team that is gonna be marginal due to losing several kids and one that is gonna be slightly less than marginal. With that said, they will get dynamite coaching, predictable scheduling for practices, and be in an environment to develop. But BA parents, don't lie to yourself that these are two "even" teams.

dynamite coaching? one team has an acceptable coach for the level and the other has a dad coach...
